The level of expertise required to play such a magnificent piece of music and a phenomenal instrument cannot be understated.

It can be understated - as someone who has played keys since age 4.4. Why the organ console access is regularly denied in the United States but freely granted in Germany, England, Netherlands. Mystery

He is very very good he is very fast and short with his keys, but some are held down to short of a time
This is one of those pieces where it's impossible to listen without a smile slowly curling your lips. Thank you for that.

At the moment I read your comment I started to have that little smile on my face, before I even read what you wrote! Amazing interpretation.
Is there anyone who can listen to this without smiling? Wonderful and amazing.

Aww, this what it should sound like, no showing off in speed but showing off in musicality and feeling . Please give us more, we like it a lot.
Just had this recommended to me 3 years after the fact! Reading the comments, I had forgotten I had only heard this played by an orchestra! Just as wonderful on the organ! Only thing missing was the audience clapping along! No audience here, though! I am assuming this was recorded during the pandemic.

Recorded in practice before a lunchtime concert. Jonathan and Tom almost always record without an audience - gets rid of coughs, mobile phones etc

Es gibt nicht viele Organisten, die die Rhythmik von Johann Strauss 1. treffen. Man gestatte mir, den Hut ziehen zu dürfen zu dieser Aufführung.
People, please think about what it means to coordinate arms and legs in a range of milliseconds..... Greatest artwork, noone could make it better; stunning performance.
You have to watch this, not just listen. So uplifting.
The man can play! Enough said.

I switched to this video, because I thought that an organ cannot make justice to this masterpiece. I honestly admit I was wrong.

This is what it takes to bring more people to the church, doing something different, like playing stuff people already know, but in a new way, on a new instrument.
One can only imagine how it must have sounded inside that space.
I get goose bumps, don't know why. But he is playing really artistical.
This was not in my plans for my KZread Friday night music, but here I am. And I'm not even upset. Thank you to the recommendations algorithm. 😁🎧
Einfach nur genial , ich muss immer an eine Kirmesorgel denken wenn ich diese Stück höre , dann fällt alle Anspannung von mir ab und ich fange breit an zu grinsen und tanke positive Lebensenergie .
It was great to hear the Radetzky March played by the Wiener Philharmoniker today at the end of their New Year’s Day concert and it’s equally wonderful to have Jonathan’s fantastic arrangement. Thank you.

Magnifique qu'un seul homme fait lorchestre. Et on ressent le galop et l'entrée triomphante du Marchal autrichien d'origine polonaise

Marvellous. I must look what's on at the Bridgewater Hall again. It's a few years since I was there last.
Thank you Jonathan. This is such a beautiful musical piece. Composed by another great composer. From South Africa

And this was even played on an electro-pneumatic organ. Imagine you have to play a very quick piece like this with a little delay between your hands and the sound coming from the organ. That's a real challenge!
