I'm always intrigued when Jonathan performs a piece of music on the organ usually associated with another instrument. OK, pianos and organs have the same keyboard layout, but they produce a completely different sound. Jonathan has not disappointed me yet.

I thought, that I was familiar with this Rondo Alla Turca. After listening this very impressive perfomance I had to change my opinion. Congratulations! to Jonathan Scott !

Theatre/pipe organs were designed to replicate a whole orchestra. They are much more complex instrument than a pianoforte.
Thank you for uploading this amazing snippet so soon after your concert. You haven't forgotten your loyal supporters who are always on the lookout in the hope that there is a new pleasurable surprise awaiting us !! We are so blessed to feel part of your musical appreciation 'family'.
Brilliant wish I could press like a 100 times
Organs can be so thunderous and magnificent. 😀
Wow! I thought that only piano was posible this masterpiece
Thank you Jonathan and Tom for another masterpiece. It is always uplifting.
One of my favourite classical pieces, and you did it justice, Jonathan. Thanks for making this. 😊

so accustomed to hearing this on the piano, a la Yuja Wang (and she might easily be my favorite pianist), but on the organ? WOW this is awesome! BRAVO Scott!!!
Jonathan, how beautiful. Congratulations. How lucky are those who can watch the concert live. It must have been wonderful. Thanks for posting here on KZread for those of us who can't see it live. Hugs!
I love how the organ expands the dynamic range tenfold.
Wow, I cant even pat my head and rub my belly at the same time, you are amazing!
Ganz ganz Wunderbar Jonathan Scott
I probably listen to this piece three times a day. I just can’t get enough of it. Absolutely beautiful.
That was fun!! 💃 Bravo! 👏👏👏 Thanks for sharing. 🎹🎶
This is beautifull for a piece that was never written for.the organ. It just shows how versatile a good organ with a good player really is.

Totally agree, What I rather did not like, is using hand and feet for this piece, because it can give impression that an originally piano piece that uses only one keyboard and 2 hands, NEEDS at the organ all its resources (many keyboards and using hands & feet + stops changes) ; thus piano purists shall say " look, we do not need all these resources and such an expensive huge & complex instrument to play masterpieces like this so, let us with our simple 1 keyboard piano, we never get tired of it !!" § Because I DO DEFEND THE PIPE ORGAN & I 's a pipe organ purist fan ( I'm 39 engineer) (As an Pure Musical Instrument, (not liturgical cause I am not Christian, , I'm MUSLIM of Morocco)) & I hate piano (and violin even more)), but the fact that piano has been for 200 years the example of keyboard instruments makes me uncomfortable , because the first ever keyboard was actually for the pipe organ !!!! I mean, for a not very difficult piano piece, it should be done on organ using only one keyboard or minimal resources, so that the organ will have always other resources for really symphonic and difficult pieces. for information , organ pieces of french classical era by Clerambault use only hands in the same kayboards with just stops to changes (Suite 2nd tone, etc...).
Congratulations! to Jonathan Scott !
What a tremendously powerful sound, almost ripped my heart to shreds, outstanding, brilliant performance.
Amazing Jonathan!😁👍👏👏👏
Those trumpets are insane....
How lucky the audience at the Bridge Water Hall have been to be able to live that magical moment by attending this concert just as I was able to experience it and now remember with nostalgia. Wonderful Mozart's encore, a magnificent gift for everyone, at least it reminds me of when I played it when I was young. On the organ it sounds great... Congratulations and thank you very much again!!💖😘😘
Mozart really missed a trick writing that for the piano! Hoping to be fit enough to start attending concerts again soon - missing you both but enjoying what you do on here.

i don't agree, i think it sounds better on the piano.
Don't ask me why, but this piece reminded me of an organ on a merry-go-round.

The perfect encore to a fabulous recital. 👏
You really have a talent. I play organ too, but this is something special, love your work so much.
Fantastic - thanks for sharing.
Have only heard this with piano , or harpsichord. Sounds great on organ. From Chicago, U.S.A.

Awesome Arrangement I’m very Satisfied to hear
BRAVOOOOOOOO!SUPER:)
Well that was lively!!! When I saw the programme for this concert I was incredibly envious of all those lucky people who would be in the audience! So many of the pieces listed are favourites of mine, largely because of your videos. I'm sure your audience enjoyed the concert immensely, & the encore!! Thank you both for uploading this taster.
This Wonderfulness and comfort is off the charts The depth of my emotion is immeasurable
Funny. Im going to try this. The piano part is the best of it. I'm fascinated. 👌
Complimenti !!!!!!🎉😊
Thank you so very much Jonathan for this marvellous music! It makes me happy! (my English is not perfect).
Number one
Wonderfull! Bravissimo! Every day you are progressing more and more in every possible way! You would have to think about screwing up at least once If it is impossible, then at least in the planned way! Please! 🤣👍
Ingredible how Mr. Scott plays the organ. Like a battle of fingers on the keyboards.
Превосходно👏👏👏👏👏
This went well! It is rowdy music, and without being corse, this manages to be riotously fun to listen to. I imagine that is hardly easy to play this on a large pipe organ and keep it swinging! Bravo! Best wishes from George
❤️❤️❤️
God bless you Jonathan... You have elevated it.. Pianists thought the organ can't perform it at, this tempo but you have demistified it all. You're th best. Mentor more especially I organ arrangement works.
Flott gespielt.
E.P.I.C !! Huge respect from the Netherlands. This channel is a delight to listen to.
To Jonathan I hope that Jonathan will read and agree with this article ^^ I am writing this post using a short amount of time thinking that I should leave a comment before today is over. It was early morning in Korea when this video was uploaded. As soon as I opened my eyes, I listened to this song and was so happy and surprised. I am a worship accompanist at the Presbyterian Church and a beginner in the organ. I was practicing carefully because my teacher emphasized playing with the 3rd and 4th fingers. It reminded me of my favorite Mozart, his song Turkey March, and I played this song about a week ago. With a beat similar to Jonathan. Of course, it lacks a lot, but while listening to Jonathan's arrangements, I was influenced and played with that feeling. I want to listen carefully to the pedal point and play it accordingly. Do you have sheet music? I want to challenge. I would have been even more ecstatic if I had heard it in a concert hall, but I am happy just listening to it on my car audio while driving. thanks! From fan woori in Korea.

I used to hate this piece. I had to endure it five days a week for two years. It was used as a piece to teach typists rhythm. I think it was the only record they had. I now love it, but it has taken more than 50 years.

Jonathan does not record and upload all his concerts. We may be lucky and get another in Nov but otherwise it will be the two Christmas concerts he and Tom usually do
@gmfamcdonald1465

@@epincion He can't very well publish the concert where the audience has paid to be entertained. That would not be ethical. That is why most of his recordings are produced when there is no audience, so we, who are 'afar off', may also have the opportunity to appreciate his (and Tom's) prodigious talent. I, for one, don't know how I would have survived the horrendous Covid lockdowns , without a daily intake of their amazing virtuosity! They should be recognized internationally for their contribution to the emotional wellbeing of music lovers around the globe.

Note 10 for your comment. Note 10 for your comment. It should even be forbidden to publicize concerts in the rooms where the shows are held. When he discloses, as was this case, it must be when the public asks for "encore". But it certainly wasn't part of the concert repertoire.
@epincion

@@gmfamcdonald1465 I disagree. Jonathan and Tom quite regularly post an online version of concerts that are ticketed for a live audience. The recording is usually done during the practice session as it allows retakes if needed plus there is no coughing and other noises from the audience. The online concert is invariably a cut-down version to around 45 mins. It is time consuming and expensive to record especially at the level of quality Tom does which needs multiple cameras and microphones and then a high degree of post processing before the Premier is sent out on YT. Those attending in person don't get short changed at all - they get the full sonic effect of the organ (or organ & piano) in the venue which can never be replicated in a recording, plus they very often get to meet Jonathan & Tom who like to mix with fans afterward.
Is the tempo just fast or he was just quickly playing to finish faster
I agree the organist performance is very good; not as impressive as my favorite Xaver Varnus but certainly good enough to be credited.

This is one of the most overrated and overplayed pieces in the history of music, but you gave it a new magic. Absolutely astonishing registration and amazing performance on this beautiful instrument!
Can be a bit slower, marching instead of hurrying.
a bit too fast
