A really smart move by Japanese museums or cultural institutes to promote the beautiful national treasures to millions of people all over the world by the hand of the most loved and viewed Vtubers in the industry, I hope they realize the reach they can have thanks to Hololive. Honestly, it is the first time I have seen such a delicate piece of art.

I feel like the businesses in Japan fully feel the impact of HoloLive. Gura’s aquarium collaboration for instance was a massive success. Not to the mention the consistent commercial successes of HoloLive associated products like the wine produced by the talents and other merchandise sales. We don’t see it as much here in the West, but HoloLive is very active in Japan as a cultural force bleeding into all sorts of entertainment and recreational niches.

Seriously, before I watch Raden art clips I'm very indifferent to art displayed in the museum, her explanation (and thanks the good translators) opened my eyes about the value of these things. It's not just a painting/sculpture or whatever forms it is, but it's about the history preserved inside it that embodies the breakthrough throughout human history, and then it clicks why it is stored in a museum (I know I'm that dense). Like how she explains how impressionism movement comes to being tied to the discovery of photography, etc. It's amazing and this is what really should be told in schools for our future generations.

I agree, it's the same for me. That, and a lot of the creativity in art goes straight over my head. At first glance, the Pine Tree drawing didn't look like much to me, I thought I'd seen something similar before. Once she said it was a special paper that gave that white, and all the white is just paper, that completely flipped my perspective on it! Tbh I can't even imagine the skill it takes to do that since I'm an absolute dunce at art. Raden is really a big gift to both the art and vtuber community imo.

The only time I had a thorough or well discussed art in Hololive is during the art stream between Calli, Mumei and Sana. Sana being the one who discussed artworks submitted by fans. Nonetheless it's always interesting hearing it from a very enthusiastic professional discussing why this or that works and more. Now that Raden is here, I'm glad she have streams like this. I'm not very good at doing art but I appreciate art a lot especially to an educated discussion level. You also get to know a country and it's history through arts after all.

Thanks for the comment. Since this is not an introduction to art, we will not clip it on this channel, but we have a project to collect episodes from viewers about their visits to the museum. Many of the episodes are about the first time they went to the museum because of Raden, so I believe that the number of visitors to the museum has increased, in no small part.

If you watch enough vtubers, holomems especially, you'll understand a lot of them are pretty smart that simply "dumb" themselves for our entertainment. Matsuri is a licensed electrician, Korone is very knowledgable of western media, especially cult classics (she has a separate account where she reviews movies), Polka even, I'd put as the wittiest of all, which comes from her extensive background in media.

Thanks for the comment. Basically, a separate permission is required for use on cilip. However, the works explained in the section called "Public Domain" can be used freely to some extent from the original, so cilip is not a problem. As for non-public domain, there was a work called "Pine Trees in the Snow" which is a national treasure, and Raden said clipping was OK in the broadcast. We also did not clip a work that was only available for a limited time on Raden's streaming due to rights issues.
