    I fucks with it, we are bboys/bgirls and i know we got big sponsors now and the dance is somewhat a business, but we took it back to the streets. Their was no calling anybody out their name, there was no fighting, it was respectful, even for the OG's. No one is bigger than the culture, and this was a reminder, at the end of the day. They was called out, and the judges consented to battle. Thats what it is, someone said show me your heart and prove that this is your dance and the judges was like...let me show you why we are so influential. Not cringey but real!!!

    Here because I wanted to see what the fuss was. I found out that the drama was about calling out judges. If you found this inappropriate, you are soft. This has been happening before your favorite dancer even thought about Breakin'. -- Also, just be glad the first guy, Jeff, snapped. I've seen some trash Judge call outs that should have been left alone. But him and his crew laid it down, even after competing. More of this shit. Easy paycheck for some of these judges, make em work when you feel like they aren't working!

  • @tryit5

    @tryit5

    3 жыл бұрын

    it’s not about being soft it’s about setting the rules to this sport so people are not confused on how to earn respect. if it’s allowed in the competition let it be said upfront to the judges, and competitors that way a judge doesn’t feel disrespected because he was hired to do a job called judging not getting paid to battle. and if that is the case that judges are free targets DURING THE COMPETITION AND NOT JUST THE CYPHERS THEN THE JUDGES SHOULD GET PAID MORE FOR DOING EXTRA WORK.

  • @NickyQ

    @NickyQ

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@tryit5 I've witnessed judges being called out since 2002. Not in one single flier did it have anything about being "allowed" to call out a judge. All it had on there was Date, Time, Location and Cover. I've also been called out as a judge and never felt disrespected because I wasn't told I could get called out. Just handled business and continued judging rest of battles. Lets be honest, I love the fact that these judges get paid, and sometimes they get to negotiate. But literally, a judge gets a paycheck for giving an opinion. That's not hard work! I'll stand by with what I said, if you don't think the judges are working, make them work. -- I also think calling out judges comes with a territory. You better back that shit up and not waste people's time. I've seen judges just straight up reject a call out because it would be a waste of time. So if you are calling out a judge, you better be about it. And I can tell, this dude Jeff, is.

  • @tryit5

    @tryit5

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@NickyQ nothing you're saying is invalid, but if we are going to continue to have these sporting events, there has to be more clarity on what is allowed during the competition so the judge doesn't feel personally disrespected, and the competitor doesn't look like an immature bad guy to the public and the rest of the sports breaking community. if the judges are a free target then the judges should be made aware of that so when they do get called out they know it's part of the event and nothing personal. this lack of communication now has lil john looking at jeffro a certain type of way because of the call out to the point where he got on the mic and made a statement and after all of this jeffro just standing there not understanding why it's disrespectful what he did. like I've said before, to me calling out the judges is corny, hold the L and move on, BUT IF THAT IS WHAT JEFFRO HAS BEEN TOUGHT TO DO TO EARN RESPECT THEN I CAN NOT BLAME HIM FOR ACTING THAT WAY. the event runners should male the rules clear to everyone that way no one is confused. I genuinely don't think jeffro meant to disrespect anyone, but the lack of communication made the situation cringey and like I've also said before this is new territory in this sport

    Calling out judges in 2002 was wack just like it is today. If you didn't like the result you take it to the cypher. If he felt like he "torched" El Niño then prove to the mass not the judges. Calling out judges just makes you look silly, soft and salty. Kids need to learn the rules and respect before entering this culture. So many people now a days are "bboys" cause of the internet. Y'all haven't put in the work these judges have, I was there in the trenches for years with all of them. So many people think they know what bboyin' is about cause they read thru comments and watched "docs" online. This age of bboyin' is soft, period.

They were literalt in diapers when pokie and flea rock were all ready rocking wcrtm events and kony but yall just follow the new and weren't there when shit was rocking early late 1990s early 200s. Lol I can't get mad at yall for not knowing your history, but you should do research on the LEGENDS they called out . And once again . Compared to Ronnie, flea, lil Jon, and pokie. 100% amatuers . They threw 1 or 2 solid rounds the rest was clinic on how to dance . Why you think jon was telling jefro to calm down, it was because he wasn't even dancing jusy going off of emotion. Now look how calm cool collected fleas rounds were and tell me I'm bugging. Cmon now don't act these kids are on the same level ciz it very obvious to someone who actualy lives it vs those who just watch for ent.

    Since when did bboyin even start having judges..i was a bboy in the 80s and there was never not one single judge ....This is all new mainstream bboyiing...no judges in the streets where we battled it was real raw no breakbeats no DJ no judges to determine nothing thats real bboying...This is all mainstream thats why even once in awhile bboys push each other and try to fight each other because of lack ofrespect and bboying is lost when bboying was created to not fight but battle on the floor and take each other out and how dope or freash you were was determined to win a battle not this judging bullshit..ive seen bboys now a days that are 5 tines better than the judges...Like Thesis or Alkolil Menno.. Cloud There's to mamy to nane...just cause your a judge dont mean shit..Take it to the floor and let's see how dope you are in order to judge a battle of today with the bboys today...ive seen battles judged with lil jon the favoritism judge Ken Swift the old school bboy and crazy legs and boys today will wax all of them with one set ..and those are judges...nope no dice. Let the sets do the talking let the uprock start the battle let the footwork speak for itself...This judging bull has to go...old school bboying never had judges and who ever started it changed a traditional battle form to win respect by fresh ass sets and uprocking by way of judging instead of letting the moves speak for themselves.....THATS ALL MAINSTREAM...nothing to do with old school...si tu sabes ese.i was a bboy in Nuevo Mexico in the 8os majestic floor warriors crew and our uprock and 6 step footwork and freeze chairs determined who won...no judges needed..we didnt even beat kill no breakbeats or djays just a boombox playing whodini or tour de France by craftwerk no sponsors tambien.the barrio pobre was our sponsor...imagine that vato...Now that was bboying

This means, in relation to their turning, they are using different legs. A.k.a the move is flipped. But visually almost identical. I'd say it's not enough for them to be distinguished from one another as two separate moves.

    What BreakFree did was un-called for and should have waited after the show went offline to do the Judges Battle or handle it on a "CYPHER" and not during a "LIVE" stream event. Very Un-Professional when casting realtime live events. Now if this just a game where people just wanna film and go live on youtube disregard my comment below. But if you want to throw a real Live Stream Or Television event on a professional level continue reading. -------- The kid had all the right to speak his mind on his loss during the interview but breakfree escalated it by allowing him to speak his mind infront of all again allowing everyone to be put on the spot where things got heated up and made it seem like some sort of WWE event where eventually ended up on a battle of 5 Judges vs 3 Rads makes no sense when it should have been 3 vs 1 and allow the kid hold his own. Point is...They don't have a UFC Fighter upset with his loss doing a call out and change the whole live schedule event to fit him into another fight. It seemed like Breakfree escalated it and allowed their emotions get on the way of business. I may sound soft but this not professionalism when it comes to real live streaming events on the pro streaming level. If it wasn't live or taken serious do whatever you want. Just learn from this experience and never let go of that Mic because you never know what that other person may shout or say. Remember there's kids watching, they look up to every single one there and you may have potential sponsors for future business which could have been my self. What Flea Said he is correct but in my opinion everyone disrespected him for escalating. He works really hard every day to be where he is at and something stupid can change his career when he has a family to feed. That's an issue that can be taken offline, on a cypher and let them wear them self's out all they can to prove a point lol. Other than that the whole film crew did an excellent job capturing all the angles for everyone to see. just my two cents.

    Jeffro needs to grow up and learn how to take a loss. The bboys who are judging these battles are veterans. If Jeffro continues with his arrogant and disrespectful behavior, those judges and the crowds will remember him for his poor attitude than his skills. That could potentially impact the results in close battles.

    that judge call out was cringey. it makes a competitor look immature and like a sore loser. calling out the judges. this is a business and a sport at this point, so calling out judges isn’t a way to hold anybody accountable, because those same judges will always play the same friendships politics game and get flown out and paid to other events to make the same wrong decisions based on friendship politics and sponsorship politics. the only thing this does is adds clout to the judges and earns them a false sense of credibility in the sport just because they answered a call out, while making the competitor look like they are just being rude and immature. BUT, with all that being said I can’t blame the competitor for acting this way when people older than him told him and showed him to act this way to earn respect, like he stated at and what even made it more cringey to watch was the copyright free music playing in the background. next event the rules, and expectations of conduct should be better explained if the judges and event organizers don’t want to get called, out and that way the competitors don’t look unprofessional because they though that was the correct thing to do.

    It was okay’d by the promoters and you forget at the end of the day it’s a dance. It’s a form of expression. This is the culture. Nothing unprofessional about speaking up and calling out the judges. You Don’t do that at sports sure, but this is dance. This is hip hop and a form of expression? It’s everyone’s opinion sure, but at the end of it. They called out the judges for what they felt was unfair and handled it on the dance floor, period. That’s how this culture is. And If it was unprofessional or bad then Jeremy and moy would’ve stopped it. And instead gave them time to do it. What’s cringey is you don’t see that breaking is just that. They were just breaking.

  • @tryit5

    @tryit5

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@Ajguahguah I’m going to disagree. the dance revolves around crews, cyphers, parties, and catching people at different locations and battling on the spot. for decades the “dance” was practiced like that. once you add judges, sponsors, rules, set times, rounds, prize money, tax id forms, announcers, commentators, slow motion playback, copywrite free music (eww), the signing of weavers to have the rights to use and sell your image the way they see fit, it then starts evolving into a sport. as I said I’m my post I genuinely don’t blame jeffro for calling out the judges because he has been taught in past events that that is the way to earn respect, BUT a judge got on the microphone and felt that it was disrespectful to get called out because as he said he was there to judge not to battle, he is not getting paid to be called out and battled for his decision. there for more clear communication from the event organizers to the competitors and the judges would be nice on subjects like these on what is allowed and not allowed so no one feels disrespected. to me calling out a judge to battle in this type of professional sports setting is corny, hold the L and move on. BUT LIKE I SAID BEFORE I CAN NOT BLAME JEFFRO FOR CALLING OUT A JUDGE WHEN IN THE PAST THAT IS WHAT HE WAS TAUGHT TO DO, moy and jeremy were unprepared for something like this and also with the injury that a competitor gravity had later on in the event. this is brand new territory for them so just because they let it happen doesn’t mean it was the right choice because they are sending mixed messages to the competitors and the judges. and with all due respect but if anyone goes to planned sporting events like this to experience the “raw” original essence of the dance then they are looking in the wrong place. crews, parties, cyphers, is were the dance started, what we are watching here is a sport, AND THAT IS NOT A BAD THING IT IS JUST DIFFERENT, AND SHOULD BE TREATED DIFFERENTLY WITH DIFFERENT RULES. this is just new territory for everyone
