Hurricane seemed like he wanted to be “strategical” and use short rounds to exploit Hong 10 stamina. It’s a good strategy but against a world class bboy who has been in the game for over decades and trains stamina everyday, it backfired against him. Against bboys with huge experience, it’s a gimmicky strategy that can cost you. If it was any other bboy who isn’t at the top, it would’ve worked

Chair flares to halos to shirt take off, some of the back bend variations, the hand wave go down, the one leg hollowback from headstand and even some of the various power combos he pulls out from time to time. He had a regular battle's worth of material left 😵

I won't even call this a battle. Harricane just throwing out 1-2 moves. Those aren't even considered rounds. He should have challenge hong10 to a game of B.R.E.A.K instead.

I remember Dyzee saying that this isn't really like a bc one battle where people throw 3 full rounds. Basically they're both supposed to go dozens of short quick rounds/replies/moves. It's just that Hong 10 is such a beast that he threw out whole sets each round. But I agree that Harricane should have used more material.

Bruh you'd be surprised to see older cypher battles...people were ready to go the distance. This battle's supposed to be a marathon, not a sprint. You really think it's possible for dudes to throw out whole rounds for 3 minutes, at a max of 12 times? With only a 90 second break in between?

홍텐형이 대단을 넘어 존경받을만한 배틀이었음을 말해본다. 실력이야 워낙 비보이계 메시같은 존재니 이 배틀을 보는 누구도 승자를 의심했을리 없다. 나 역시 그랬다. 다만 좋은 실력보다 더 놀란게 이것이다. 체력 소모가 큰 비보이 배틀에서 상대는 성의없고 짧은 무브의 잔꾀로 쉬는 시간조차 주지 않았다. 그렇다면 보통의 사람이나 비보이는 여기서 선택을 하기 마련이다. 승리에 지장주지 않는 선에서 수십 라운드중 이번 한 라운드쯤은 체력 안배를 위해 좀만 쉬어가자라고. 혹은 상대가 약한 무브를 보였으니 이번 라운드는 저거보다 살짝 넘으면 된다라고. 체력과 가진 기술은 한정적이기 마련이니 이겨야하는 배틀에선 당연한 전략이기 때문이다. 하지만 홍텐형은 매순간 전 라운드를 풀 전력으로, 본인이 가진 전부를 쏟았다. 오히려 비보이 포켓이 홍열이형 제발 랍락 섞고 쉬면서 짪게 끊으면서 체력 안배하세요ㅜㅜ라고 할정도였다. 적당히 해도 이기는데 지장 없었다. 그런데 마치 배틀과 승리 여부를 떠나 홍텐을 보러온 관객, 보고있을 팬들을 위해 준비한 모든걸 쏟았다. 마치 메시가 조기축구회에서 어린 팬을 위해 10대 0으로 이기고 있는 상황에서조차 90분 풀전력, 스프린트 50회 뛰면서 최선을 다했다고 보면된다. 날강두와 얼마나 비교될 일이냐.. 홍텐형 실력이야 뭐. 당연한거라 무브보다 저 배틀에 임하는 자세보고 정말 경지를 넘어 이제 저 업계에서 존경받고 누군가의 귀감이 될 존재구나 싶었다. 항상 부상 조심하세요.

You could see Hong shaking his head about halfway through the battle after Harricane threw out like a five second response. He was like "is this guy serious, I can't do the whole battle by myself with no rest."

Hong 10 truly is a godfather of breaking. Not only he put an amazing show, he also remembered his loyal fan's dream, and he literally came there to make it real. What a legend, just wow. Congrats to both bboys for making 2020 better.

배틀보고 느낀점 1.홍텐은 내일이 전성기다 35라운드 동안 거의 쉬지않고 연속으로 무브를 했다 2.레파토리가 정말 많다 35라운드 동안 중복되는 무브가 정말 거의 없었고 심지어 모든 라운드를 완벽 소화해냈다 3.암기력이 좋다 옆에서 두명이나 붙어서 폰 보면서 말해줘도 3초 무브하고 끝내는 금붕어랑은 차원이 다르다 4.멘탈이 사기다 3-5초 정도 무브하고 끝내는 상대방을 보고도 멘탈이 나가지않고 체력과 실력으로 보여줘버리는 진정한 월드클라스 5.35라운드 중 10라운드 이상은 심지어 제대로 된 비트킬링과 완벽한 무브 구성을 보여줬다 6.홈그라운드가 아닌 어웨이 그리고 자가격리 2주를 견뎌내고도 장인은 환경탓을 하지 않는다는 것을 몸소 실천함

i think harricane just took this platform to have more followers on intagram or wherever. even with this exposure he didnt have an identity of who he is as a breaker. sad to say but hes just a copy paste of hong10,but on a way lower level and doesnt have his own signature standout moves. very plain. the guy didnt even try breakin for his crew, country or his idol kinda sad battle to watch.

Yeah, actually all of those negative comments towards Harricane are from people I assume haven't watched the video till the end. At the end of the video Harricane said, that he knew he was going to lose, but that was his dream and he didn't want to let his years of practising and his youth to get wasted, so he decided to call Hong10 out anyway. Having said and done this, Harricane has accomplished his longterm dream. He made it come true. Can you guys say something like this to yourself? Plus, Hong10 at the end appreciated Hurricane's effort and the fact of chasing his dreams. He also said he would do the same if he were in Harricane's shoes. So motivating. Also, Hong10 said he will make another dream of Harricane come true, which was battling alongside with Hong10, in one team. Hong10 grabbed the mic and asked Harricane if he still wants it. Then they shook hands and I got emotionally evolved, lol. That was truly heart touching. So please, don't be so harsh to Harricane. He didn't do that because he wanted to prove Hong10 not deserving all of his titles. He only wanted to chase his dreams, showing everybody else that it's never too late for dreaming. Truly touching and beautiful video.

He said I knew I would get extinct but he was my childhood idol, my hero. When I told my mum she said please don't why would you put yourself in a situation where so many of your supporters will see you get embarrassed. I am 29 now I'm not gonna be young forever so if not now then I will never get a chance, so I thought about it for very long and thought no matter if I get smoked I will challenge my idol no matter what. I apologize to all my supporters and the mayor who came to support as well but Hong 10 was exactly as good as I thought he'd be.

이 배틀 '덕분에' 홍텐의 어마어마한 스테미너와 끝없는 레파토리 대인배 마인드까지 확인하면서, 진정한 살아있는 전설임을 확인하는 시간이었군요

Some people are saying that Hurricane's strategy was to go short rounds at the beginning and then start taking wins as Hong 10 tires out. This may have been what was going through Hurricane's mind but he failed miserably. His rounds never consistently got longer, just a long round here or a decent length round there, he also had much more repeats than Hong 10, not to mention most of his rounds looked like a copy-paste of Hong's trademark moves and combos only far below Hong's level. There is just no question that Hong 10 won, the man didn't even slow down or show fatigue. Don't get me wrong, Hurricane is an amazing B-Boy and much respect for what he said later about how he's glad he did it even if he knew he was going to lose, its now or never mentality can take you a long way, however, for someone trying to tire out the other person by doing a few moves(sometimes as little as 1 move) per round, Hurricane ran out of steam much faster and showed it too. Also, Hurricane called Hong out to establish he was better and not a biter but all he did was prove those statements true. No contest Hong 10 won despite his longer rounds and age. The man is an absolute beast of a legend, I hope he never stops breaking or inspiring the community. Peace, Love, and much Respect!

Hong 10's stamina, endurance and execution is on another planet. 🌍 Although their levels are worlds apart, I have no doubt Hurricane trained hard to get here. Dyzee's judging tho 👀😂

Just to be clear, I know the event was in Chinese, but we were judging using the OUR system. I was judging on the "Cypher" conversation aspect. In OUR system we can give ties if someone doesn't clearly win the specific category. With that said Hongten clearly won majority of the 7 battles from a Cypher perspective! I don't think anyone in the world could beat Hongten in this format. If anyone disagrees, tell me who???

From my point of view Harricane wasn't having any conversation because his strategy seemingly was "Let's copy a movement from Hong10's round" almost every single time. While replying with "I can do that movement too." has its place in battles, it loses any strength when you do it every single time right? That's why to me he was completely lacking in battle strategy and I didn't understand why he won in that category in round 2 and received a couple of ties.

If I remember correctly you said cyphers are where breakers should respond to the opponent's move AND give something original on top of it. Hong 10 is the undisputed Bboy God. A legend forever in the scene.

hong 10 was just too much in every aspect of breaking. HIs arsenal of moves is too high. His stamina is insane (ESPECIALLY considering his age), creativity and originality. If Hong 10 is also clean in his runs he's pretty much unbeatable in a format like this.

I hope people dont harshly mock or criticize Harricane. At the end of the battle he kneels to show his respect to Hong10. In Asian culture, kneeling down and putting one's head down takes a lot of courage to win over their ego and give full respect. Whether Harricane's purpose was to get traction or to get his name known, his respect and admiration for Hong10 is real. That's why Hong10 in the end accepted the battle and gave such encouraging and warm words at the end as well. So awesome witnessing the legend Ho ng10's dance on the stage again! 사람들이 해리캐인을 너무 심하게 놀리거나 비난하지 않았으면 좋겠다. 배틀이 끝난뒤 결국 해리캐인은 홍텐님께 무릎을 꿇었고, 동양문화에서 무릎을 꿇고 고개를 숙인다는건 자신의 에고를 뛰어넘고 상대를 진심으로 존경해야만 할 수 있는 일이다. 해리케인이 관심끌기나 이름 알리기가 목적이였을지는 알 수 없지만 홍텐님을 향한 존경심과 경애심은 진심이다. 그렇기 때문에 홍텐님도 마지막에 따듯한 격려의 말을 건네신거고. 대인배 대장인 홍텐님 정말 멋지다!

진짜 오랜만에 관객있는배틀,환호성이 있는 배틀보니 정말좋고 홍텐님 무브오랜만에 보니 너무좋았는데 보다보니 내가 다 숨이차고 힘드네...그럼에도 한세트 한세트 다 풀전력으로..설렁설렁 할법한데 진짜 존경스럽다...상대는 뭣같이 하고 들어가는데 덕분에 홍텐클라쓰가 세계적으로 다시한번 인정받을거 같아서 기쁘다 동료들도 보고 많은걸 느낄듯함 우리나라 비보이들도 보고 활활 불타주길..!

해리케인이 말하길 홍텐은 자신에게 오래된 우상이고 그가 은퇴하기전에 대결해보고 싶었다고 합니다 해리케인은 홍텐에게 지도받기 위해서 한국에 직접 방문해서 배움을 받아 복사된 동작이 많은데 다른 비보이들에게 홍텐 퀄리티 보다 못하면서 따라한다는 비웃음을 받아온게 트라우마가 되서 홍텐을 도발할때도 많은 비보이들이 너랑나랑 똑같다면서 누가 더 나은 비보이인지 겨뤄보자고 했습니다 결말은 홍텐의 압살이고 같이 잘 해보자 한팀이 되어서 비보잉을 해보자 하면서 훈훈한 결말~

What I love about breaking is that win or lose, you can make it a life lesson to improve or choose to not change. Hong 10 is a perfect example and role model of bboying. Hong 10 made it clear today on the floor and in words.

This formmat is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The B-Boys have much more room to be creative and present their skills rather than only do their hardest moves. There is a bunch of B-Boys that could shine much more than they would do in the much shorter format. Would love to see Bruce Allmighty, Wing and many others in this format. This is just endurance and dictionary. Not who dances better. Plenty of top level dancers wouldn't last as many rounds as lesser dancers

Much love for Hong 10, he truly respect his opponent by all-out, despite very disgusting battle tactic from Harricane (have a very short round to burn Hong 10 stamina, bite a lot, i mean it's quite obvious... ) Respect to b-boy Harricane though, he make his dream come true to battle Hong 10.

Harricane was tired n has zero top rock n footwork ability. He threw a lot of 1-2 move rounds. I had him maybe winning only a single round out of the however many they went.

@Raye Soh to be fair.. Harricane can (and should) give at least few seconds more to do some top rocks, to reply Hong 10 moves and give his opponent space for breath..... i'm not gonna mad then We clearly can see how many times Hong10 is in disbelieve with Harricane tactic

Notice how Hong 10 looks over at Dyzee during the battle. "Is this your manz wit the 1 move rounds?" LoL 😆

Big ups to Hong 10 for blessing the floor‼️ This is like The Hulk versus a bunny rabbit. Harricane is probably too easy for me too even has some nice windmills and haloes... but then what? Where is the music? The top rock? Signatures? Up rock? Original footwork? Anything!? A couple of power moves and freezes even if really nice need some serious backup or it’s not enough‼️This was an embarrassment for Harricane‼️

Props to Hurricane. I have a newfound respect for Hong 10. First saw him back when he was with expression many moons ago and followed him through the years. Scary how his last sets was as fresh as his first. Stamina is on another planet (I think Hong 10 is really a android from DBZ now). After seeing this, I truly believe he can take on any bboy out there in this battle format. When his time is done, he will be a legend and icon.

Legendary Hong 10 still evolving as a Bboy day in and day out. Amazing!!!!!!

Well, so this battle proved that hong 10 can sweat haha. Now seriously, is crazy to think that after all those rounds H10 still had an arsenal and think he didn't even used basic moves like a headspin (i mean only headspin) or simple combos like flares, swipes or babymills... to save rounds, he just keeps throwing bombs, and full rounds from top rocks to a stance at the end, this is so motivational to see what a person can approach by training, commitment, concentration, midnset and of course decades of experience. An example for everyone. No matter how all this happened but thanks for making it happened. Peace.

Taisuke's set maybe short if your compared to other bboy, but at least he is throwing a lot of dope moves Meanwhile Harricane too short even for intastory 😂

Taisuke's sets might be short but he makes sure they are packed with incredible content. Harricane just isn't at that level unfortunately
