The rookie's line says it all, "When you judge somebody, it doesn't define them, it defines you". If I was a cop, I would not have pulled over the young Mr. Porter unless he broke a traffic law. And even then, he looks like a nice, respectful young man, so I probably would've ran a check on him and if he hadn't gotten any tickets lately, I would've let him off with a warning.

37 years on the force and driving a patrol car...tells you the quality of his career.

Whoever wrote this skit certainly wrote it accurately. A socalled black police captain is powerless. If he had actual power he would have ordered the lower ranking socalled whyte cop to apologize to him and to his son. He should have grilled him and got an answer to what makes his son "look suspicious". After getting his answer he should have told the socalled whyte cop that he is on desk duty until further notice while an investigation into his unlawful act and possible past violations.

As soon as it started I noticed that. I never heard of a rookie police officer start out with the rank of Sergeant. In many places like the bigger cities the rookie would be the Sergeant's driver. Now I'm not saying that BS doesn't happen with the police I encountered it when I bought my 2nd Mustang at the age of 49. I had an officer yelling at me to put my hands on the wheel one night and then make a remark to the effect of wanting to search the car and then get an attitude, since he didn't want to deal with me in cuffs while they searched the car and my 80 pound dog who was asleep in the back seat. He was a total dickhead when another officer told him that the dog was in the back seat watching the goings on. He had to say aww do you bring your doggie everywhere you go? My response was yes as a matter of fact I do, officer. Then he didn't want to believe that I was in fact 49. It wasn't the finest hour of police interactions for me, but I know that there are worse for others. He was looking for a reason to rough me up. Had it not been for the dog I can't imagine how it would have gone.

You know this fake video doesn't represent reality, right? There's racist people in every nation, especially in nations with more multiculturalism. But the amount of such people is extremely small. Of the thousands of cops that pull over people every day, there's probably isn't even 0.5% that are like that what you see in this video.

A few quick questions: Why are they wearing two badges? Why is the badge on their chest a different style than the badge on their shoulders? Does the badge really say “Special” under the mourning band? Are Converse sneakers a normal part of their duty uniform? Where are the sergeant’s spare magazines? Pepper spray? Baton? Why is the rookie wearing sergeant’s chevrons? Why are the light bars on the front dash where they will block visibility instead of on the headliner? Why is the light bar off-center? The rookie isn’t in the passenger seat when they were pulling in behind the kid’s car, where did he go? Why did he park so close to the suspect car that he won’t be able to bring the driver out and interview or perform field tests on dash camera? Why isn’t the rookie out of the car and covering his partner? Why would he presume that some guy he’s never met before is a lieutenant?

You can't teach an old dog new tricks. And that's the saddest truth.
