The rider in red is Tommy. Newer racer on the Terun dev team. Strong dude.
Rider in red played a really good strategy the whole time just from looking at your footage.

Agreed… Until the very end. Then he screwed up by going early and towing the main threat to the finish line.

@@tommyrq180 I like the confidence though. Gave himself a chance at very least. Jeff was just better in this case.
That last sprint was a whopper, Jeff! I like that you’re so humble, talking about how fit Blaine is. But, man you don’t disappoint!

Let's gooooo jeff another Alviso in the bag I love that you compliment everyones strength and how they can beat you but honestly you don't disappoint as well. Commentary top-notch best Cycling Content Period I learned so much from this channel and I don't even own a road bike but I'll still tag along thankyou for taking us along for the ride am a big fan from Algeria " you probably can't point to it on a map haha "
Keep it up, dude! You got me into cycling and inspired me to get my first ever race bike. Last year I also joined our local cycling club. Doesn’t matter how good you or your equipment is, I am just enjoying every single second on the road. Thanks and greetings from Germany! 🤝🏻
Congrats. Great race review.
I love those sprint finishes. Well deserved first place based on both experience and patience🥇
Whoa great win. Nice work.
Another good crit race. You didn't talk about the Winspace bike ... how did it feel during this race?

Looks like they are raising the manhole covers to be flush with the new road asphalt after repaving
Get better Jeff, get back on that that bike smashing those pedals.
Man I’ve gotta get out to Cali someday and hang with y’all at Alviso, nothing like that where I live and it looks like da bomb!
crazy good finish
Love the chin cam
I wish to see you do comparison with totl bikes vs mid tier in terms of acceleration.. like from corners 😊
HI Jeff! Great win 😎💥 I'm new to the channel. I'm wondering about your impressions on the WINSPACE. It's obviously a good bike 👍😎
You have a real finish line on the street now? Is that new with the new pavement? Awesome content as usual!
Changed the vid title - kept looking for down to the wire and couldnt find it on my other machine. Looks like a goo piece for the money. -U10
Calculated like a boss GZ
couple of stimpies fell for it, nice finish
Poor Blaine towing that monster spoiler!
Mystery Rider in red is the new STIG
There were two riders that went otf on the 'neutral' first lap that were never caught. The cat and mouse games really slowed down the group
Need a Blaine alviso commentary vid!
Can you explain the "sprinters gap"? Ive heard you mention attacking when things are slow/counter attacking, but first time I have heard you mention that!!! Thank you!
@maxw5229
6 ай бұрын
What he means is to let an intentional gap open up in front of you to have room for acceleration. That way your speed difference is much higher when overtaking the guys in front. That way, they have to go much harder and longer to cover you.
@calebhubbardcycling89

appreciate the explanation ! Makes sense@@maxw5229
Would you think if the guy in red attacked 8:13 (when you just closed the gap and your power dropped), he might have won ?
Im curious about that headunit? its not a hammerhead or wahoo or garmin so i just dont know.
at about 500m left, Blaine is like "Jeff is here, and for that I'm out!"
these videos are awesome

What happened to Scott foil?
Road race with gravel bike when? :P
I'm highly disappointed Jeff. You didn't call out Blane for his fender. Does he think he is riding in rainy Seattle? Did he also have a dork disc? 😆

@@NorCalCycling I give you that Jeff. Nothing worse than a face full of spray from your buddies bike.
So, who was the guy in the red kit?
Wondering how much a rider needs to drink on a cold winter ride. Two bottles on the bike and a camel hump in the pocket (in addition to a couple pounds of gells it seems!) Lol - Is that really necessary for a 20k race that lasts all of 30 minutes? Might as well install a saddle bag or two.
Seems like nobody wants sprinters in a group towards the end? Question is though, if they make you do all the work to keep the pace up/chase a counter attack, won’t you either just get caught or let the counter go? Seems like it’s a no win for everyone? I get you don’t want to don’t want to carry a sprinter to the finish but aren’t you shooting yourself in the foot if you are a breakaway style rider and not keeping the pace up to make the group successful? Just a thought 😅
Are these official races. On open roads?
Sprinterspeak for “play nice” = sit in do as little as possible!
Do you check the weather report or a flag to get wind direction and then position based on that, or are you able to feel it in real time? I can feel when I pull out of someone's draft and catch the wind in my face, but when the wind is from the side I have a really hard time feeling where I should be.
@RylHango

he knows the course well enough where all the wind directions are relative to each other at any given point
you get sick quite a lot.... that sucks!
Looks like rider number 5 was lapped and rejoined 3:00
Guy in red made you work for it 😅

Winspace needs to make sizes for taller riders
TBH I was surprised the red jersey had a decent kick that would have won it had he timed it better.
That “course” is ridiculous 👎
Most be so aggravating that they just replaced the road and now they have patches all over…..
