Good way to practice wallbangs - load into training mode, sprint around and trigger a bunch of zombies, run inside, close all the doors. Now try to wall bang them shooting at the sounds you hear

Wallbanging is such a great thing to get into the habit of doing. Even if your shots don't hit, chances are you might scare/force the person out of position or stop them from camping.

I like how you keep the death in your videos. Everything seems more natural and you can see that you just have to try it.

Really nice video. I will use the ping trick the next time I play. I think that the most difficult thing for the wallbang is to decide if it is better to take the shot and to expose yourself or to go stealth.

Its the same people that trigger every crow, dog and horse and wonder how people know where they are. In my 300 hours i found maybe 1 hacker. Im sure they exist but they are very rare.

I have a couple sus clips i'm saving for a video just to post and see if anyone else ever has these things happen/has an answer, but nothing glaring like i have saw where people died across the map while being shot through the ground and stuff. Most of my complaints about the game are in the weapons, and mostly their sights. But this community don't exactly handle complaints well so i'll stay quiet here. Overall: i enjoy the game and feel it's getting better with the new patches. It may not be a game i play all the time but it's a game that, unless it really goes tits up, i will always play. Which is NOT something i say about many video games.

Bit of correction on the advanced settings for audio. Choose the highest bitrate (24 or 32, if its 16 you need an upgrade) and then select 48000hz if you're setting this primarily for games, 44100hz for music. If you go any higher Windows might muddle your sound as 48000hz is what most movies and games use, while almost all music is in 44100hz. Most probably wont have the option to go higher, but just in case.

Sooo, I knew most of the stuff in your video, but when I checked my Audio settings I noticed I was using my really quite good headset with the second worst quality setting.... I turned it up quite bit, will be interesting if I notice a difference ^^

Hey man I have hyperx cloud 2 aswell, do you use it with sound card or with its own usb soundboard ?

Corner checks and door bangs help, especially when the team isn’t making much noise in the boss lair.

This video is 2 years old, and i havent checked patch notes, but for me, with my Hyper X Cloud ll (2) headset, i need to use 7.1 surround. If i dont use 7.1, i cant pinpoint the direction of footsteps or noises. I dont know if they are behind me to the left or the right. or sometimes a frontal sound is actually sounding from behind. But with 7.1, the sounds are pinpoint and can be reliably used. I can hear where they are moving, and theres no debate in my mind if its behind me or in front of me ( a sound ). So imo, definetely use 7.1 surround as of 2022.

I'll try out that ping tactic. I use a lemat carbine with FMJ and have only gotten people through fences, never through a wall.

Audio in Hunt is better than any game I have ever played, they should win some kind of award for it but going by the small player base it will remain completely underrated much like its graphics with its muted more realistic colours rather than trying to impress the kiddies with the brightest of everything. I only wish their antialiasing was better, while that soft look gives it a cinematic feel It is a shooter and I can't bare to look at Hunt without some sharpening in reshade now.

Jesus, I can't adjust the anti-aliasing. Either everything is blurry or everything is shaky.

So it's best to have the "Spatial sound" turned off ?

HI Rachta, do you use the USB control thingy that comes with the HyperX Cloud II? Or is it plugged directly into your motherboard, or a special soundcard even? I also think that other noises (open window, loud computer) can make a difference. Got some more tips for that?

Its just plugged into USB port I see, dont think that matters. Also my volume is 50 in windows and 60 in game. Those headphones can really cover outside audio

@@RachtaZ It's a joke, I seem to have an inflated head in video games and catch bullets from weird angles, I was notorious in Mount and Blade warband: Napoleonic wars for catching inaccurate musket rounds in the face at 300 yards. I did watch the whole video though, joke was a little more of an inside version and does come off a bit rude, my bad.

5.1 and 7.1 are literally just marketing buzzwords. You DON'T need them in ANY game. Stereo is all you need. You won't be able to "hear the position" any better with 5.1 or 7.1. People who say that or assume that it works like that cause "well more speakers duh" are just wrong about it or don't know any better. You are better off asking people who do know how audio works and they'll all tell you the same. It's bs.

32bit, 352800 Hz. I think my dac/amp max settings is a tad overkill.

The sound in hunt is in my opinion very good for a game, but not realistic. It would be cool if they could calculate real reflections and everything, like raytracing, just for sound. but i think it would be way too much work to implement.

Don't know how people pin point the position. Always sound like either front,back,left or right walking on the spot.

I have good headphones but the audio is quite low for stereo , i can't hear anything normally unless i change into 5.1 , i have also noticed that while steroe sounds more immersive , it is quite wrong when taking into account the spatial distance from something. For example i can hear a grunt behind me but he sounds closer than he actually is. Whereas with 5.1 settings , i can hear it accurately as per the distance but hard to hear sounds even remotely 5 meters away from you with clarity. there any alternative or fix for this ? Besides getting a better headphones

What I do not like about the sound design is that to hear further sounds better you amp the volume, but then everything thats close is deafening , like scrap screams so loud you can't hear anything at all, but if you lower the volume to actual preserve your ears, people just sneak up on you, idk, must be my headset or something ;s I also do not have an option in audio settings to set it to stereo only 7.1, it was really bad but with logitech sofware i can enable DTS and it makes sounds atleast distinguishable :(

You don't need to set it to 7.1 or 5.1, just direct stereo input. The game was designed with stereo headphones as the target hardware.

Because to use software I need to use usb option, and with DTS enabled its kinda ok, but im aware that something might not be as intended, and unfortunetly until i get another set of headphones, i have no idea how to test this. Atleast the sound isnt mono lol
