Renata Kimmerly I am sorry for your loss. My son died last July 29th ten days after his 20 th birthday. He fell off a cliff. This music speaks best to my feelings, I feel at home in the sorrow. I suppose life will get better but not as good as it was. I hope someday you and I find a certain peace.

I played this with my orchestra once...the only melody I fully memorized, and I cry every time I play it. Bravo, Luka.

The ascending phrase from 5:40 touched my heart. Singers often play this phrase with dramatic crescendo toward the highest E, but I prefer Luka's interpretation. He expresses deep sorrow and melancholy at this phrase with soft tones.

Great performance! This has got to be the first time i have seen the accompanist fully engaged in the music as well.

Fact: Luka was a child prodigy with exceptional talent. Fact: He is from a family of musicians and music is in his genes, flows through his veins Fact: He is young and incredibly handsome Fact: He has catapulted to world fame on his own merit Fact: Not everybody can appreciate that without being judgmental and feeling jealous ... sadly that is also how human nature is. LUKA WE LOVE YOU! YOU HAVE GIVEN THE CELLO A WHOLE NEW DIMENSION!!!

I have just discovered this chef d'oeuvre recently and I can't help but feel a certain emotion jumping between the notes sometimes its treason, sometimes grief. I can't explain it this master piece is fascinating.

I love how these guys play from the heart - don't need sheet music. Just WOW!

Whenever it rains in Istanbul, I always listen to this piece and I think Rachmaninov is walking around the streets of Istanbul at that moment. I am being so happy. It's also nice that Rachmaninov's notes are under the protection of a master like Luka Sulıc.
