Getting a white actor to depict a Latino in this age would be unacceptable, and rightly so. Getting a Latino actress to depict a character of Northern European decent is also unacceptable. Snow White is part of German and European culture and to depict it as otherwise is totally unacceptable and unauthentic. Every race has the right to defend and preserve their own culture.

Facts. Disney is trying so hard to include other cultures that ruining the classics. They are not staying true to what we know as fun and adoring, loving movies. It is best left untouched fr. And PS, I kind of read the last line wrong. We are all one race, the human race, but come from different parts of the world, so everyone is entitled to be apart of their own cultures.

Culture isn’t isolated to race and evolve over time. I’m not a fan of change forcing race changes into story’s just for diversity, especially in a story where the title of the very story should restrict the race of the person playing her, but that shouldn’t dictate that you couldn’t have a white hispanic, white Arab or what ever pale skin person you find play the part. the culture in the US belongs to everyone here despite race, if you want to “preserve” some cultural heritage then you should promptly go back to your country of origin and maintain it there.

My guilty pleasure is watching Disney's downfall and I am so excited to see Brett and Daily Wire's version.

i just kinda feel the "Snow White is a leader" thing was already done in Snow White and The Huntsman so going that route of "fearless leader" isn't a new concept on the big screen. Plus it got mixed responses. Though I admit the Evil Queen in that movie was great, and it was visually well done for the time of release.

Disney did not create Snow White. It was written by the Brothers Grimm and published in 1812.

Snow White was created by The Brothers Grimm 2 German librarians. The only part Walt did was animate and change the dark end of the story. There was no women empowerment part to story or even a part where father said anything like that. The wire's version is likely to be remembered over Disney remaking and Race swapping.

Disney SHOULD be afraid of pushback! They need to be aware of what their customers will want to spend their money on. It also helps if your lead actress doesn’t put on such a snarky attitude and act like they actually enjoy or appreciate the role they signed up to play.

I’m for this new Snow White movie 🎉 this is what needs to be done to marvel and Star Wars now, other versions of movies that have no agenda push, but live up to the classics that we all know and love.

Well if Star Wars continues on its path and you’re looking for a fun and intriguing story in space I recommend Warhammer! Henry Cavell is currently making a series on it and he wants to stick to its lore as much as possible since he’s super into its universe (as a nerd we can all look up to), but full warning it’s super gory and once you go down the rabbit hole it’s hard to stop, and it never ends 😅

It's not a "traditionally white role", it is a white character. It would have been just as idiotic if they had a white guy play Black Panther or Falcon.

It's really not ok to threaten Rachel because her vision is different for the film. Nobody should be sending her threats and the like. But sharing their dislike of the film direction is totally valid. I'm personally looking forward to seeing what the Daily Wire does.

If I make a movie called The Little turtle or The Little Otter, you instantly think of a very young turtle or otter, like in childhood. So the casting was way off. It should have been an eleven or twelve year old actress playing Ariel, not a full grown adult like Bailey? I bet a child in the role would have done better at the box office.
