There is a glaring issue here that Dr. Grande does not address. Why do women who are romantic rivals fight EACH OTHER? There seems to be so much of this going on, though it usually does not involve murder. If your boyfriend is two-timing you with another woman, and you manage to scare your rival away, do you really think that he will then be faithful to you? If your romantic or sexual partner has other partners, then your problem is with him, not the other woman. He is the one you should be threatening, or better yet, just leave the creep. Blaming the "other woman" and not the guy makes no sense at all.

It could be a sort of animal instinct. 2 females fighting over a mate. It’s ridiculous yes.. you would think that humans have evolved from these instincts but looking around, it seems many humans aren’t evolving 😒 It’s a good question. I’d enjoy hearing Dr. Grande take it on.

There's an element of internalized misogyny as well. It's easier to believe that your innocent partner is being led astray by a vindictive woman than the person you love purposely hurting you.

@@Kirsten_is_cursed10 Actually, I think I would, although your scenario of "two guys in a bar fight" is not very specific. But if a guy is in a bar with his girlfriend, and SHE starts flirting with another guy, it makes no sense at all for him to try to punch out that other guy. If his girlfriend comes on to other guys, beating up one guy does not ensure that she won't be flirting with someone else the next day. So the logic is the same. If your romantic/sexual partner is unfaithful, your problem is with them, not the other person.

When you're young you feel invincible, even if deep down you know you're really not you will 9 times out of 10 throw caution to the wind anyway. All of us did stupid stuff at that age for stupid reasons. Most of us were lucky enough to escape that particular life stage having inflicted only minimal damage to ourselves or others. These two weren't so lucky. One dead, the other in prison, and all over a two-timing deadbeat dad who couldn't have cared less about either of them. These girls unfortunately learned their lesson the hard way, but the guy likely didn't learn a thing. A senseless tragedy all the way around.

Totally agree with the Dr’s analysis. Miss Ward did not deserve 27 years she got a raw deal to say the least. She was overly provoked and broke after heavy fire. She made a catastrophic decision all because of a narcissistic piece of faeces, yes, it was HE who put the wheels in motion and yet he walked away Scot free. Miss Ward was fearful of the constant bullying and reacted wrongly. How very sad it came to what it did, 2 lives wasted because of jealousy created by the narcissist. Had it not been for his manipulation it wouldn’t have never have happened. Has has a lot to answer for.
