4:30 - It is a little mean. First ATM was in 1967, and the devaluation of the pound happened in the early 1970s. Of course it would make no sense to have a ten quid limit after that, but in 1967, ten quid was worth roughly 200 pounds today.

  • @thomasdalton1508

If we look at inflation from the first ATM in June 1967 (a few months before Wilson devalued the pound) to a decade later in June 1976 (pretty much exactly when the pound hit its low against the dollar), prices increased by a factor of about 2.6. That's a lot less than the factor a 5 difference between the correct answer and Rachel's guess. £50 was still a lot of money after the devaluation in the early 70's.

I hadn't even thought of the "asleep" aspect ... and so I guess that when people are awake - active and very keen people probably check their phone every 4 /5/ 6 minutes or even 7 / 8, so that bumps it up to 12? Notice how at 4:23, Brad says "Correct answer is?" When he should've asked if 'c' WAS the correct answer. Could be that it's all pre-determined or that he just knew the answer since he's so old (sorry Bradley)

But to be fair, all the viewers of this knew at least one of the answers. I would have got one less right than her while sitting comfortably at home. Up there in the center of attention, maybe I would have got none right. My brain would have looked around and said 'nope, I'm out. I'll leave you with basic motor function'
