Technically, the sun doesn't provide vitamin D, it lets your body produce it. But yeah, everyone should know that. Stress under time constraint can make you do silly things though.

Thanks for posting this I recorded it but I went out for 10 minutes I didn't watch this part and I've been looming for this for 2-3 weeks

Some of the questions in the beginning were ridiculous, well done Rachel.

I’m pretty sure this was recorded on a Sunday as Rachel was on Sunday Brunch on CH4 and they were knocking back Drinks 🍸 and then she said ‘What am I doing, I’m going to record Beat the chasers next’ lol

8:03 had me laughing. Much like how an irritated wife corrects her husband.

When the contestant gets asked which is the coldest season and the chasers get asked what Dr Barnardo's first name was, I can't help thinking that the difficulty levels are somewhat biased in the contestant's favour!

4:30 - It is a little mean. First ATM was in 1967, and the devaluation of the pound happened in the early 1970s. Of course it would make no sense to have a ten quid limit after that, but in 1967, ten quid was worth roughly 200 pounds today.

If we look at inflation from the first ATM in June 1967 (a few months before Wilson devalued the pound) to a decade later in June 1976 (pretty much exactly when the pound hit its low against the dollar), prices increased by a factor of about 2.6. That's a lot less than the factor a 5 difference between the correct answer and Rachel's guess. £50 was still a lot of money after the devaluation in the early 70's.

My first ATM card in about 78 did indeed have a £10 limit. In fact, it was £10 or nothing 😊.

The format doesn't really make much sense - having more chasers playing doesn't necessarily make them quicker, because the main thing that ticks down the clock is the host reading the questions, not the answering. That being said, Rachel did great. Beautiful and so happy with herself.

I've always loved watching Rachel on "Countdown". Obviously she's beautiful, but she's also quite brilliant. And here on "Chasers" she again proves it.

Only 1 chaser can answer at once, so I wouldn’t even say 33% more jeopardy, as their knowledge bases will overlap a lot, so probably a lot less than 33% additional risk to add a chaser

@@Chrissaces1 Yeah I agree, and 2 seconds could be critical, but she still had a huge margin of safety. I'd understand staying under a certain amount to duck a specific chaser, but that wasn't the case either. She underplayed her hand.

Rachel Riley is such an adorable and classy person. Such a fantastic role model for our whole society. If only we could have more people like her amongst us.

Seems like it worked as a disadvantage to the chaser’s to have three of them as you lose time waiting to see if a teammate will answer before guessing or passing.

Super easy questions for the most part, but still a thorough trouncing.

3:23 - Rachel, being a great mathematician on her feet, PLUS using her logic and sense of how people function in society these days - that was a great educated guess! I hadn't even thought of the "asleep" aspect ... and so I guess that when people are awake - active and very keen people probably check their phone every 4 /5/ 6 minutes or even 7 / 8, so that bumps it up to 12? Great thinking by Rachel, especially under the lights and cameras while she's being tested!

She's just the brightest ray of sunshine anywhere on Earth. Good onya, Rachel.

They always make them easier for charity shows.

Notice how at 4:23, Brad says "Correct answer is?" When he should've asked if 'c' WAS the correct answer. Could be that it's all pre-determined or that he just knew the answer since he's so old (sorry Bradley)

But to be fair, all the viewers of this knew at least one of the answers. I would have got one less right than her while sitting comfortably at home. Up there in the center of attention, maybe I would have got none right. My brain would have looked around and said 'nope, I'm out. I'll leave you with basic motor function'
