Rachel Bolan, original bass player and co-founder of heavy metal band Skid Row stops in to talk about a re-energized Skid Row.
Skid Row formed in 1986 and has since gone on to sell more than 20 million records worldwide, and has had two Top 10 albums and eight Top 40 hits. The band, with new lead singer Erik Grönwall, is set to release a brand new record called The Gang’s All Here on October 14th.

We just saw Skid Row in Bethlehem Pa. 10-14-22..... I can tell you..... They sound better than ever..... Gronwall is the real deal 👌🤘

He is definitely a great singer and a great fit for the band.
I was in the Sebastian camp to go back to SR…Not anymore. Eric is fantastic. Rachel is so down to earth. I really dig his aura and vibe.

Saw them last Sunday live…and Eric nailed it…saw them also in the 80's…with Bach…even …in my opinion. Eric gave Rachel,Dave, Scotti and Rob kinda energy back. Don’t want to be disrespectful to vocalists after Bach and before Eric..but he is the right man!! And so sounds the new record…really a masterpiece in my opinion. Congrats for Skid Row..and you for this interview

@@DrMusicInterviews Born in the late 60’s, I got into Skid Row mainly because of Bolan: punk rock, some obscure pop and glam still are my roots, I grew up listening to The Lords Of The New Church - that kind of stuff. I mean, of course “Slave To The Grind” is such a amazing album, and I’m super excited about this “rebirth”… I do love “The Gang’s All Here” and Erik is just perfect for the band. I’m mainly a Bolan freak, tho’, and I keep my fingers crossed, impatiently waiting for his book and solo project. I loved your interview, enjoyed it so so much. Thanks! Love!

Having Erik in the band really opens up the whole catalog for them now. “My Enemy” is definitely one that I’d like to hear as well.
