Rachael Price is one of the best singers of her generation, hands down. Her voice is otherworldly.

Seen her with her band a dozen times. Seen her with Vilray a handful of times. She never, ever disappoints. She's never missed a note. Truly remarkable talent.
Beautiful that Colbert finally brought them on, since he's previously mentioned his love of this song.

It warms my heart to see Vilray excelling like this. I hear that he wasn't widely recognized for years and even gave up on music at one point?? but it's fantastic that his talent is bring appreciated now! And of course, Rachael and John are both fantastic as always! :)
Stephen Colbert mentioned he listens to this song during his "First Date" with John Oliver...

This song will always hold a very special place in my heart. My husband and I danced our first dance to this song at our wedding in October.
Never heard them until now. What a lovely song.
Is there anything Jon Batiste can't do? He's a musical treasure!

Any idea which harmonium he’s playing?
Seen these two live several times, they're amazing. Rachael's also in a band called Lake Street Dive that is also great.
Wow, made me feel like I was in the era of the 1940's. Very cool, very talented. I guess rock doesn't have to be my favorite genre after all.

LMAO I just made a very similar comment. Definitely 40's vibe to this. Good catch, Delores.

@@jstnxprsn Made me feel like I was expecting a good looking G.I. come up to me and ask me to dance. They have the ability to take you out of your own head. I like that in music.
This belongs in a Wes Anderson movie soundtrack. How lovely.

I have been listening to her for near 10 years. She's only more talented now if that's even possible
Stephen mentioned this in passing during the swaped interview with John Oliver, and I looked it up and immediately fell in love with it. Very cool he got them on!
I heard them for the first time on jools Holland's hootenanny brilliant vocals and harmonies. Like stepping back in time 👍

Snap, stunning song...notice on both performances you could hear a pin drop in the audience. Fab.
Vilray is really laying the foundation of this tune with his extremely tasteful rhythm guitar. To sing harmony on top of that is really something.
Reminds me of a French cafe
Hypnotically beautiful. Felt like a warm dream of yesterday’s sunshine
I only know of them because Colbert shouted them out a few months ago! Went and looked them up, was really impressed. So it made me smile to see that they're performing on Colbert's show - must be a thrill for all 3!
Hootenanny for me too...how come I missed out on these guys? Brilliant! Just what's needed in these heavy days...
Love their music and the warm, friendly vibes these two give off together. Very pleasant and very French sounding.
For those who have first discovered Rachael tonight, look up Lake Street Dive- “you go down smooth.” Your life won’t be the same after listening to that track.

🎶🎙️🎶Absolutely beautiful! Their voices compliment each other perfectly, and the song just made me smile. 😊
So glad he got to have them on in 'the before times'
Rachael is a wonderful singer! They harken back to Dan Hicks and His Hot Licks...circa 1971. Just have a listen to the: "Striking it Rich" lp.
Mr Baptist, it took Rachel Price to unlock yer mouth accordion's sound Fer me . That is good music. Ty. Ty...

Lake Street Dive Rachel. Fucking sweet
I wish Rachael price Collab with 'post modern jukebox'
Buy Vilray's music everybody.
Cool
How beautiful is that Telecaster?
I did not know a piano could be played like that.
THIS is actually music...
nice...
yes they do.
Slay
Fallout vibes. Love
He has a very nice voice. Would like to hear a guitar solo. Tuning still a major issue.
So awkward seeing Stephen not shake the guests hands lol
I wonder if it’s difficult for her to perform so understatedly.
Wow, I sure enjoyed the musical guests tonight. Wonderful performance by Rachael & Vilray. But as a performer myself... I'm sure that John B. wishes he had a second take on his solo. Should never be too cocky not to run through at least once.
Anyone know what mic they're using on the vocals?
