OMG you got me into fpv drone freestyle thank you so much even though we are only kids we fly drones for fun I just got an eachine wizzard x220 arf for Christmas even though I don't think you will see this

I had a friend get me into fpv with a eachine e013 but your videos have helped me alot to get much further into this hobby

I like this racing format better than DRL. The outdoor venues, team races, and pit stops add a lot of extra interest. Flight one almost blew a good lead in the finals with a pit stop error. Very well produced video, lots of fun to watch.

IMO, mixing outdoors and indoors on each track would be ideal; indoor areas can introduce some interesting obstacles and trajectories, and the rush of seeing solid surfaces moving past all around is quite nice. And besides the more comprehensive experience, it would also allow different pilots to shine in different areas of expertise.

the Outdoor is better than just inside stadium. The scenery and the view is clear. I can't see well inside stadium because because the chair or viewer distract me

This series has been a blast to view and experience these epic locations! Cant wait for next season!

GIVE IT UP FOR THE FILM AND PRODUCTION ..heart is beating so fast ..and so happy for Flight One ..that was some great competition..and hands down the most exciting sport ..and the reason I fly today...

Wow, this was a much better way to watch a drone race. Trying to watch 3 or 4 screens at once isnt very fun..

Phew, disagree! All I could think was: for the love of God, please put up all the pilots feeds at once!!! That, or let someone like Colby Curtola decide what we see and when to cut to different feeds. I loved the series, but the production value on the racing was a C- at best

This format has been very successful for us. To LeninFPV’s note below, we also release the 4-screen versions of the races here on KZread so others can see it as the judges do on track. Both are great ways to watch, though we see the single camera version as the best way to present the races to the mass audience.

Amazing stuff. This hobby has come a long way in the 4 yrs Ive been flying.

Those drones shooting over the DHL tower sounds so powerful like a car doing a 1/4mile. I love it. Music to my ears.

Fist time I’ve watched drone racing and IT IS AWESOME!

OMG, Minchan destroyed Vanover, haha! I mean, beat him out the gate at about 90% speed while Alex was pushing about 115% speed and crashing. Then, Minchan does the second lap at about 115% "minchan speed" and proves Alex really never had a chance:) All the pilots in the background were going nuts watching that second lap...such a great moment!!!

In person it was even more incredible. Both of them are amazing pilots, and their rivalry matches their friendship. Great competitors.

Amazing video and production overall. You really make this whole thing a dream. Id love to be a water boy or IT guy for a season.

This is a great format to watch quad racing! HD footage(most likely post-production) and all the great camera angles to show how tense the sport is for these pilots. I just don't see X-class being this intense and fast paced with the extra mass, might be easier to follow as a spectator but not as fun to watch close up.

At least I can see the races here, unlike somewhere else. (Looking At you DRL!)

Loved veing a part of this with so many great people!

Just watched 2017 and 2018 seasons. Great progression. First season had a little too much drama, swearing and "personalities". 2018 was much more professional and therefore more enjoyable. Pilots skills also seamed more even in the second season. Regardless, it was all fun to watch. Great job to the pilots and to the DR1 team! Looking forward to see more.

@@DR1Racing Maybe for the big distant parts, you could invest in some robotic camera gymbals that lock on the video and/or telemetry signal of the drones and keep a strong telephoto lens following them? And maybe require the drones to have some good retroreflective stickers all around and have some laser or spotlight attached to the cameras to light them up from a distance?

Visibility of which drone is which goign through gates is very poor and too quick, maybe eliminate those shots they're not telling a story and adding to confusion.

@@DR1Racing Also maybe a drone or drones which are flying next to other drones a film drone to keep a consistent view of the racing drones so you can see the entirety of the race. I think this is a solution especially since the racing drones dont carry hd cameras right?

Dang Uvify really only had 1 pilot. Minchan can only do so much, if he would have had even 1 pilot to help him they would have won.

It's crazy how the team with the best composure won.. all the other teams had some fast pilots but with no accuracy.

When you're sponsored it doesn't matter. I run 6s on some 2300kv motors they rip like hell but don't last long

6S just means its 22V. The motor speed is whats important and you can get that by using less cells, higher KV. And as someone else pointed out, more power means less flight time and also fewer cycles from your battery and electronics.

next season you should go to Rudno polje, lake Jasna, Trbovlje chimney or maybie Bovec. all locations in Slovenia. If you need I can try to arrange to race on those locations.

That is one fast drone pilot hands down

This is entertainment. The pilots need to practice their screen presence (pretty good already!) and the interviewers need to sharpen up as well. Production looks really good!

In terms of video and transmitter traffic, what is the limit for how many racers you could have racing simultaneously on the same track?

no limit. in theory. but in reality its down to how many channels the electronics have to choose from. usually its 30-60.
