Give ultrasonic animal repeller a try. I installed it, opossum, cats, and raccoon stopped coming to my backyard and steal my fish from the pond.
Raccoons will take advantage of you when they see you are an elderly or a kid. Raccoons will try to inside your home and ravage the kitchen for food. They are not fun.

Made me laugh, the way you describe them, like they are some kind of manipulative cunning criminals in the making, not just living beings trying to survive
They're babies. You can tell that they are young. They probably lost their momma, maybe was hit by a car or something. They are just scared and they found a safe little spot to stay, so they won't leave. You can bet one of the neighbors is feeding them. If she loves animals so much, why doesn't she just make peace with the situation.

@lockandloadlikehell Can the person be charged with animal cruelty for treating raccoons like that? I mean it’s on the news now, everybody’s making bets who’s gonna cave in, though it is unfair, one nice lady vs at least 8 raccoons, I feel the city should step in
They are cute but a pain in the butt! They love playing on my trampoline!🙄 Seeing them in the daytime is NOT a good sign! 😬

If nobody else is playing on the trampoline they might think it is set up for them. Do you have a pool so they can cool off after?

@JJ-lr9sv Nope, two adults! They have a ball on it and crack me up, climbing the poles and falling down in the trampoline. They wrestle around on it and chase each other. They are annoying, digging holes in the lawn, and looking for grubs. 🙄 Seems like a family of two adults and 3 kids! The 💩 they occasionally leave is annoying af though. 😒

@oliviagoldin7737 It's for my Grands. The raccoons come out at night. I deflate the pool, so no, they don't get to chill afterward.
Did I hear it right those annoying adorable creatures are not paying taxes? I’m calling the authorities to tell on them, might be a good way for city to pay attention

@JJ-lr9sv I say catch them in the act of stealing (they are notorious for that), call the police and have them arrested, but then again they will most likely be released without bail and return to the crime scene not so happy and continue harassment and other criminal activities, I’m out of ideas

I question whether or not she really loves animals, because if she really did, she'd know that all the raccoons want is food and to survive and she would try to accommodate them, if she REALLY loved animals as she says!!

The disinfecting is comical, people have gone germ crazy. Those same animals have been walking on your table for decades. Life is dirty. But if they're coming out in the daytime, that's a serious problem. 7 raccoons live in my backyard but they NEVER come out in thr daytime. She needs to trap those and they should be tested for rabies. The city needs to step in bc it's a communicative disease.

Seeing a raccoon in the daytime does not mean it has rabies or that it's sick. That theory is ABSOLUTELY an uneducated stereotype these amazing creatures have been labeled with.
