Yes! It was killing me every time Rabbea mentioned the ARP was too dark when the Captain was oblivious that he was interpreting the Dampen knob incorectly. It's a cut knob. It needs to be put up full at the start and then trimmed back to taste. The Captain can't be expected to know all the knob nuances - but the ARP would have dared even better if he'd known. Regardless, the ARP showed itself amazingly. (Yes, the ARP is my main delay!)

I know it’s all personal preference but always have the x knob closeish to center and turn the dampen knob all the way to the right then bring it down until you like it. Start with the current winning pedals and run through them again up against 5 comparable pedals at same or similar price points. This would be super helpful for consumers. If you find the EHX memory Boy delays too dark there is a low-cut filter adjust for it

Maybe Rabea should set his favourite sound on each pedal then shootout the sounds. That will allow each pedal to be used to its full potential. Love to Rabea!

Blindfold and shootout challenges are so fun. You should consider do them twice , one with Rabea and one with Pete for the same effect. They have their own taste. I would be in!

would love to see this with octave pedals, something that seems like they should all do the same thing but theres probably some subtle details in there

I would have liked to see the Boss DD-8 on this shootout. The warm and tape settings on that pedal would have fared well with Rabea I think.

Great demo of delays! I love the Carbon’s simplicity and have used that a lot but the timeline and El Capistan are on my boards. I agreed with Rabea every time and the Walrus pedals impressed me and even the Boss sounded better than my old Boss delays. Why didn’t you include the Halo?

The Walrus ARP-87 was 'dark because you had the 'tone' knob nearly all the way down - If you cranked that up it would have gotten brighter lol, and then at the end you had the modulation on too... I have one and they are amazing...

Next vid should be Andertons guitarists shootout! - Winner stays on. My money's going on Rabea. Dave Simpson a very close second. Great watching talented people doing their thang!

I personally love the Memory Boy Delux. Sadly mine got destroyed for th most part in the house fire that also destroyed everythign else i ever owned. One thing about the Memory Boy Delux that i am not seeing displayed is the fact you can add a wah style expression pedal and assign the delay time/repeats/modulation/ etc to that pedal and then make some INSANE sweeps on the time and repeats and have direct control of that insane "Space-Trippin-freak-the-f-out" thing that happens when you sweep the knob for the delay time or repeats ( i forget which one, anyone who has ever done this trick knows the crazy cool wild ass effect it has!) and thats a definite interesting ability to have when performing and recording! I love EH pedals for thier wide use of real time effect parameter controls via expression pedals! They are amazing in that aspect and most aspects in my humbe opinion. I do love that Walrus or Earth quakers sound to though... I myself dont care very much for Digital Delays... I mean, they ARE SUPER CLEAN and great sounding in thier proper place.... but for me I wil always prefer the truth and sort of grit and toneality of a real "bucket brigade" style old school analog peal... especially for a Delay. I really wish having a true anaog Spring/Plate reverb pedal wasnt such a pain in the ass to make sound great, ive beencontemplating buying one of those cool Reverb pedal ( i forget who makes em) that has up to 3 different sized little individual Spring Tanks that you can switch out for it... ita pricey but i bet it sounds amazing!
