Yes. But, on the flip side, it is the fault of meshihists that the issue obscures the Torah of the Rebbe zy'a.

Whether or not he is “the” Messiah, the Rebbe has what could be described as a messianic anointing. Moses, David, the Baal Shem Tov, Jesus - all seem to me to have carried that anointing in some form or another and continue to inspire us through its grace. Thanks for posting the video.
