The vision of the end of days- vegetation is man’s nourishment. One who is focused on wholesome worship of God will strive for high ideals.

The Word around the World is being tested

was the test to see if Abraham would slaughter his son with glee? or did G-d want to make sure he would be horrified?

I believe Abraham knew God well enough to understand that God would not take his son's life. Abraham trusted God - and did what He asked, without understanding why - but knowing that God would miraculously bring it all to a good ending. And He did.
