I accidentally came upon Javed Ali's songs on KZread. He is by far the best singer after Mohammed Rafi. I have been a great fan of Rafi for the past sixty years. Javed Ali not only sings almost like Mohammed Rafi, but also keeps Rafi spirit alive. As young as he is, fame and recognition has not got to him. He not only sings like Rafi, but also has imbibed Rafi's modesty and sincerity. Modern day songs and singers do not touch the soul. Instead of film songs based on classical ragas, these days, they seem to mimic the western rap music. Singers who sing these do not touch your soul. Keep up the effort to keep Rafi's memory and music Javed Ali. I wish you the very best for a long and meaningful career in music.

Nicely presented Ma'am. Javed Sir is a Classically trained singer, and his roots are connected to classical music and singing. A down to earth person as well. You should listen to one of his song, Lab par Aaye, sung for a Series Bandish Bandits. Search for the live version of this song.

She is Mangala Khadilkar,well-known marathi anchor,apart from her mother tongue,she has good command over hindi & urdu,which we have experienced during the show.very dignified lady,doesn't need other frills like heavy makeup,&overdone dressing style!

Very well sung, a wonderful voice, one of the top songs of the 60’s.Fantastic.

Javed sahab is best among the lot.his knowage of sastriya sangeet is deep,hence appreciable.

All these artists did justice to our classical music base and music directors like Madan Mohan, Roshan, Naushad and others. Brought back Rafi to life.

What one can conclude from Javed Ali's presentation is that music directors did not give Rafi easy songs. Only a classically trained expert like Javed can bring out the musical nuances of Rafi's songs. However, the beauty is Rafi sang these songs with such ease that they appear to be "light" songs!! These are really "heavy" classical songs!!

That is exactly why both 'light' singers like me and classical singers like Javed can enjoy singing those songs. But it is only when we hear Javed Ali singing than we realize the nuances.

Javeed Ali's singing is closest to Rafi, than ANYBODY else, period! You're doing a fabulous job Javed Ali, like no other. God bless. Great selection 👌 of songs! And, the emceeing hostess too, is so soft and gentle; kind of like Rafi Sahab. Pretty job!

Now a days music composers, lyricists don't create such masterpieces. These kind of singers don't get the songs where they can show their full potential. Hats off Javed Ali.

Truely gifted! His knowledge of classical music is excellent and it comes thru in his singing and while he judges on reality shows. Enjoy listening to him.

I had attended a show @The Royale Opera House in Mumbai soon after it was completely refurbished, inside out, exclusively on Javed Ali Sahab's Sufi renditions.. as I am absolutely thoroughly enjoying his Raga renditions sung by Rafi Sahab I am entirely flabbergasted to know how come someone can literally master both these genres in such a young an age in life ... am just speechless Javed Sahab ..all hats off to you

Mr.javed Ali has brought md rafi to life.there is not even slight difference between him and rafi Saheb.

Javed's talent and hard work match the sincerity with which he sings. Few can recreate Rafi as well as he does.

We do not have many singers in India who is as classically trained as Javed Ali and who has a voice which is very close to that of Rafi saheb. Besides Javedji is very down to earth which reflects in his words n behaviour. May he be blessed with many more feathers in his cap therby entertaining India's music lovers!💖
