The conductor on the Q out of 57 - 6 av signed it up as out of 96 street - 2nd av - via 6 av and left the AAS on.

Because there's no program out of 57 and 6 av for the Q. The closest program is from 96 St or Forest hills and then skiping to 57 street.

Well now the Q announcements From 96 St-2 Av Via 6 Av program are glitched.

The Q was terminating at 57 st 6 Avenue due to fastrack and Broadway line being closed. At that time there was no Q from 57 st 6 Avenue program so t hw crews had to use the one from 96 street and cancel out the stops so it would skip to starting from 57 st. Some crews were not as fast as others and the full announcement played before they would skip to 57 st. The 2nd Avenue programs have been in the r160s since at least 2008. I've seen photo proof of the program in 2010 and I heard from a trusted source that it's been in there since 2008. Even though the subway wasnt open, they had the announcements ready.

David Zhu It’s the reason why the W train is back. With the Q serving Second Avenue and without the W, what is going to serve Astoria alongside the already-frequent-enough N train.

The only way this could be real if the date is a mistake and this is actually in 2017

The Announcement program was for a while, even pre 2013.

2 separate (Q) services are unnecessary. For Astoria, either increase (N) service or bring back the (W). Also, when the whole 2nd Ave is completed, I would like to see some weekend service from Queens Blvd. Line such as a new (K) service running local from Forest Hills and turning South via 63rd St. Junction along 2nd Ave to accompany the (T). weekdays probably won't work cuz the (M) runs and train frequency is to a max and that virtually is impossible considering if all three (M) (R) and possible (K) services ran at the same time. Any other ideas?....

No it only runs on The D Line to Brooklyn Via 6th Av on Weekends It's The Yellow Q

It was broken by the twin towers in 2015 so it had to be rebuilt so that's why they replaced q train with w and tributed the w
