You guys have only seen the dribbling / ball control aspect of their game. Tho Ronaldinho was more of a playmaker who could score (similar to Chris Paul), Ronaldo was a true scorer with a way broader arsenal as you just witnessed. Both are at least top 10 players I've seen with my own 2 eyes (probably top 5) Ronaldo is the best player I've seen. Yes, better than Messi or CR7. Ok so your statement about goals, yes r9 was a great scorer and dribbler just like messi, r10 more of an entertainer but scores too. However in football to be "highly regarded" or some sort of a myth or legend, you have to be skilful. If you are just a scorer or "striker" as we call it, it's cool too, but you will not be as highly regarded as someone who was skilful in dribbling like these 2. (think of kids in the playground pretending to be great players, most of the time they think of the skilful masters!) We have plenty of strikers round the world who score a lot and as we say "tap the ball in" it's not as special as someone who can freaking dribble his way through a defensive wall. Below are some of my ideas of highly skilled players(master dribblers) versus Players with killer instincts "strikers" "Skilful" Players in history: Maradona, Messi, C.Ronaldo(CR7), Ronaldinho, Ronaldo(R9), Zidane, Neymar, Jay Jay Okocha (yea..these mf can do anything basically.) "Natural" strikers in history: Patrick Kluivert, Alan Shearer, Romario, harry Kane, Mark Viduka, Gabriel Batistuta (These guys have an instinct for being at the right place at the right time. They know how to score!) disclaimer: of course even some of the strikers can do some dribbling and run like hell (thiery henry for example).
