Pink Floyd? I'm not hearing that at all. I do get some Vangelis 'Blade Runner end credits' influence, though.

@@saturnslastring might be . However makes sense considering its called "Speed" king. You might not be aware of this but Röyksopp music is inspired by drugs, depression, addictions, suicide, murder, isolation, healing, reflection, spirit, sporadic thought rhythms, nature. Hi Royksopp! I’ve never met you but are totally amazing in 2024! Love your music very much!
I'm am OBSESSED with this track. It is amazing. It's pure ear candy! So many layers to the music, something new to discover every time you listen. It's bloody fantastic.

Cant argue with that. 'I Had This Thing" adds a remarkable voice to their sound.
It is the shortest nine-minute track I've ever heard.
One of the best tracks I've ever heard. So many layers of sound and emotion.

How this changes from a gentle melody to super powerful trip of a tune at the 4-5 minute mark is ..dont think there really are words to describe it. Psilocybin lovers, this is up there with the very best Royksopp have ever done awesome and a million other superlatives

I drove north from Oslo to my mother/family in Trondheim (Norway) for Christmas holidays this season, a 6-hour drive, listening to Profound Mysteries I, II and III....until I hit this track. Then it stuck for the rest of the trip, and same thing going back, obviously another 6-hour drive. Listening to this while driving, especially in the dark, is pure joy.

Hell yeah ok! I can never choose a ' best' royksopp track but for the moment this ' Speed King ' is up there with the best I've ever heard from the band. Starts as a gentle melody suddenly at the 3 minute mark this track just takes off and evolves into something completely different from the introduction. Super powerful , awesome , outstanding and more true masterpiece. Accompanies me everywhere I go it's in my head 🤩💚✌🏴

Royksopp's new music has been the best part of 2022 by such a profound margin.
This tune has been my earworm since it was released. Drove all the way from Switzerland to Berlin, running with the Speed King, to watch Röyksopp (23.02.23). Love 🙏
God damn this is one of their finest works yet. When it comes to deep house, I'm a huge fan of what I call the "freight train," which at its core is a song with a massive, heavy, pervasive, unstoppable backbeat that builds slowly and methodically. This is a top 5 for sure!

Dam son, this is art, real electronic music. Well done Royksopp!
I usually end up replaying this song four or five times and it's kind of scary how loud I have all of the speakers going by the fifth go-around and not even notice it!

I heard this playing at McFit while all treadmills and rowing machines were operated at once. It had such an otherworldy sci-fi, cyclic/progressive vibe I got hypnotized. Seeing those 20 people simultaniously doing these sort of "pointless" movements in perfect flow and determination seemingly synchronized with the music didn't look ordinary anymore. Great Tune!
This is one of the best things I’ve heard in ages! Sublime!
The key change at 5:40 combined with the classic Korg VC-10 Vocoder, bassline and tambourine beats remind me of baby blue and i feel love by Moroder.
