R-Type Final 2 [10] Distorted Ecosystem

I hit him with a giga wave cannon shot, but I think I only got the charge one short of full and it felt like it did barely any damage at all.

Whoever made this boss took the difficulty complaints personally.
The R-9K "Sunday Strike" OK, who put Raditz in charge of naming things again?!

I'm glad I'm not the only one to think of Raditz there.
whew, the R-type 2 canonical Pilot must've been regarded as the best of the best, if this is the training data we have left, of his deployment.
19:38 If I can remember, even back in R Type 2 some pro players will still use slow mode in harder difficulties just because how fast based this battle is.
I loved the original distorted stage just because it induced a "wait what" effect because you don't remember that stage being there before. The Seraphim and The Lucifer, for all their impractical "I can't see things because of all the fire" aspects, are probably some of my favourite ship designs just from the look. There is just something elegant and powerful about the designs, befitting the angelic themes. Also that is a tone shift between stages, it's like we did a 180 turn.
Going through more neat R-Type stuff! 22:40 - 23:01 - Considering how hectic it is, I don't blame you.
18:36 Yep, this boss was made even harder... thought it has a set pattern, it's hard to keep up with said pattern.
The way I see it Naka, is that you are doing a gameplay showcase. Slow mode is part of the gameplay.
In this episode we meet the king, and he's a lady... A lady that will kick your butt into your face

Ow. My butt. Ow. My face.
Finally. BURNING DOWN THE BYDO
Ahh the flamethrower ship. good stuff. oof that last stage. evil.
yeah, that boss is some bs, I do not blame you on bit for needing practice for it
Hardest boss in the whole game. My preferred method to beat is the Final Wave Cannon
Watching other stages in this game have made me feel like it has some problems with visual clarity, and that last stage at the boss looked really bad for it. Probably would have helped if the boss wasn't usually obscuring half the screen so you had even less time to react to the obstacles.
i despise the Quarry boss. and im glad im not the only one. i tried so many times to do it legit even with slow.... i Brought in Ragnorok II and just Giga Beamed it. cus you get to cycle 2 when its fully charged
If I had a nickle for every time Naka had to slow down a shoot `em up to beat it I would have two nickles. It isn't much but it's weird it happened twice.
Seriously still suggesting using the No Chaser at some point, the Gallop Force DX'S red laser can destroy bosses within 3-5 seconds.
So, would the hardest mode of that boss just be you traveling a narrow death maze to get in one shot and have to start over?
(2:20) It changed based on which colored node you shot on the stage's boss on the previous playthrough, I believe. (5:46) Isn't that the blue shot you're using here? (19:02) Oof. I can see why this is your least favorite boss. (19:20) Start of the winning fight against "I. Hate. This. Boss.". (19:32) Ah, so that's how the Slow function of Practice difficulty works. Yeah, things just move way too fast to be reasonable here, at least on Practice. For the higher difficulties, maybe that speed is fine, but Practice should've had everything moving slower during this boss fight by default. (22:32) Finally, the thing goes down! (22:53) Wow, all because of that boss, this stage is the big-time outlier for what stages you've cleared on what difficulties.
