Use a jute rope, it is better than paper because it is more traditional way

I made them! They are just perfect with your video tuturial, you show exactly how to weave it even with photos. But i have an advise, use a 6mm straw or even wider since this will make it more strong if you're going to wear them outside. Also it is very important to weave them very very tight! Thank you for tutorial, i am waiting for my parcel now to make a second pair of sandals but without that part of sole where toes are.

@@deathwish_bigboss it doesnt matter what size of shoes i wear. The thicker rope is the harder sole is. You need a hard sole bc theyll untie when youll walk. I used them instead of my converse for over a week now and can say that 6mm rope is ideal for sandals bc if it will be thinner youll hurt your feet while walking on stones and if thicker the sole will be to hard to move smoothly with your foot
