Ok this is probably the greatest pro revenge story of all time, it has it all, an oppressed employee, shackled by his lying cheating, scar of a boss, and all it takes is a for OP to have a big brain, and the putz to have a bigger mouth, this post might just make my top 3

This is y im a firm believer that weather they are relation by blood or marriage never put them at the top because they will believe they are untouchable but if they start at the bottom and work their way up the chain they will appreciate it better when they reach the top. (Most of the time)

The OP could have had a much easier time of it if they simply recorded that conversation with 'Stalin' when they pretended to be calling looking for a reference. That's ground for a slander/defamation lawsuit if I ever heard one.

Absolutely epic revenge! When your back is against the wall, you do what you have to do. Stalin got exactly what he deserved. OP should be proud, he saved a lot of people a massive amount of trouble. Like a ninja. Live by honour, kill by stealth.

Samurai lived by honor. Ninja had no such code. They spied on and/or killed whoever their village leaders told them to. The leaders gave these orders because the village was getting paid by the person who wanted the job done. I'd say Hackers are the modern day ninjas.

Wow, talk about biting the hands that feed you. This guy took advantage of so many people around him, just treating them like stepping stones for his undeserved success. Might want to be careful with who you step all over, because if you don't treat them well, they might collapse while you're still climbing them and the fall will undoubtedly hurt...A LOT!!!

The story itself is entertaining, but I'm hesitant believe its validity. Earlier on, OP said the fishy manager (who turned out to be STALIN) spoke very bad French - but evidently well enough for the phone call in question with OP. Then at the end of the story, STALIN gets transferred down to the south branch, at which point OP says STALIN doesn't speak *any* French, so STALIN struggled. Not quite sure that adds up 🤔🤔

Stalin was set up for a public gelding in the presence of his wife and mistress. Such a terrible fall from such a high place! It is better that you were not there to witness it. I also witnessed the fall of a terrible boss when his girlfriends turned on him. It took a lot of effort to avoid being seen laughing.

  • @FeedMeSalt

Sadly this one is fiction. What really gave it away was "old fart" no one in a rage says that. But the concrete evidence is the email situation. Every single email service I can think of will alert you if you log in from a new location. But they also alert you if you log in from a old location after a set amount of time. OP said they had the email password once before. That implies a substantial amount of time. But if we give the benefit of the doubt and say a couple months that would STILL trigger the 2 factor or at least a warning email. The big boss would be alerted to the email snooping basically immediately. Not that it would save them but come on.

I lost all respect for OP when he chose to stay with the company. The nepotism wasn't just blatant. It was on full blast and caused him years of lost opportunity and suffering. Enjoy never going anywhere because the boss's friend of a friend of a friend's 5yr-old nephew wants to play corporate and superceeds your position.

Dude, there was nothing OP could do under STALIN, he had learned that monster was willing to trash his reputation to everyone, including with other employers just to force OP to do everything for STALIN. And in the kind of position that OP was in, references are EVERYTHING when it comes to looking for a new job, and STALIN was going to drag his name through the mud. No, OP was standing up against someone who was purposely tormenting OP and his underlings for his own nation sized narcissism!
