r/Maliciouscompliance How I got $75,000 By Saying "OK"

r/Maliciouscompliance In today's episode, a group of entitled neighbors think that they can boss around OP and his family by forcing them to comply with a construction request. Well, much to the neighbor's surprise, OP agrees. Then, OP gets a lawyer and smacks them with a $75,000 lawsuit. Oops! If you like this video, be sure to like and subscribe!

rSlash, have I got a story for you! So this just happened in Roblox, I was playing mad city (cops and robbers with a prison, robbery, superpowers, etc), and I was a cop. I was just sitting around in prison, waiting for prisoners to try to escape. All the sudden, I noticed a hero is stuck in the ground in the soccer field. He was asking for help I told him to reset his character (this would just put him in the starting area, he would lose nothing but a bit of time) He ignored me, and kept asking for help, suggesting someone gets a chopper and lowers a rope, hopefully so he can grab on to it and escape. I refused, as I wanted to make sure that prisoners didn't grab on to the rope instead, or they took advantage of me not watching, and escape He kept begging for me to help him, and I kept telling him to reset THEN, HE GETS MAD he starts calling me a jerk, and threatens to report me I refuse, and just loled he threatens me again, and this is a direct quote from me Me: "Go ahead, I dare you" Trapped hero: "jk" He then gets back to begging and threatening, and I think he was swearing because ##### started appearing in the chat I kept loling, and I told him that he made the effort of making a roblox account 100% worth it. I also say that I might make a reddit account because of this (maybe a bit childish, but I don't care). I told him that he is in a 1 foot hole, and all he has to do is take one step, but he's too lazy to do so He then becomes a prisoner, and challenges me to a 1v1 (too lazy to reset hero, but not lazy enough to attempt revenge) I say no, and he manages to get into the armory, I taze him, and then arrest him He gets mad, saying he wasn't ready, and once again, says he going to report me I once again say go ahead. He then threatens to report me, but this time EVERY TIME I KILL HIM (some kids these days, thinking it is ok for them to report someone for playing the game smh). To show how much I care, I arrest him again when the time comes. He then leaves the game I loled, but then someone started calling me out, saying i was a bully I told him that I wasn't going to give in to lazy people, it would have taken me around 60 seconds to get the chopper (I don't know how to fly) to the correct position, and it wasn't guaranteed that it would have worked. It would have taken him 1 sec to reset the guy says nothing but K, so I don't know if he thought I was right or wrong So, not crazy, but I hope you like my story (also going to post this on youtube, double the chance of you seeing it, tell me what you think!) Yes, sent this to you three times, yes, i'm desperate.

I forget which city it is, but an online buddy from Alaska said that even though his city was one of the 'bigger' cities in Alaska, there are no roads out of town because you can't really drive anywhere. So if someone steals a car, you only get fined for joyriding because it's not like you'll be able to do anything else with it.

My company sent me on my first trip to another state, and at first, I thought I'd take a flight or atleast a train, cuz that's the standard. But apparently, they cannot afford that for me(bullshit, I manage finances, they can afford to send me business class both ways and still not affect their allowance limits), so they want me to do a 12-hour road trip....... I was about to refuse, but then I said yes. Now, there is a no way I am gonna drive, so I booked an SUV(has higher rates) and decided to take a break midway, in a 5-star hotel, with full buffet dinner and breakfast. Even while on road, I made sure to eat only at very expensive restaurants. The entire to and from road trip costed them 450 dollars, while the return flight ticket would cost them just 100 dollars.

If you don't mind some Dungeons and Dragons, here's my story. I started playing the 5e version of the game at the end of August/beginning of September, and I picked a very basic fighter - nothing wrong. Then the Dungeon Master got Creativity Block on his homebrewed storyline, so another guy ran a pre-made scenario so that folks could get their D&D fix. Played a sorcerer with a dragon bloodline - nothing wrong. I have habit of writing down character ideas, and I go, "Say, could a Holy Priest be a Warlock" - Warlocks need a patron who gives them powers. DM: A cult leader might worship their patron, but no holy priest would be a warlock. Me: Are you sure? DM: I've got 20 years of playing/DMing, so I would know. You've got less than two months and don't know everything. Me: Fine. (Mentally) Game on. So I got some books through my library (more like I'd gotten them that very day actually) and I did some reading. Page 54 of Xanathar's Guide to Everything had the answer. Next session, I see that one of the other players has the book. Me: Say, could you show DM page 54? Other Player: Sure. DM: Okay. Now, page 54 has the Celestial Warlock, who gets their powers from a celestial being. At level 1, they get access to two healing spells - one is a touch spell that's part of the action and the other can be used on an ally within 60 feet of the warlock as a bonus action. Now, one thing to note, DM has been playing as a paladin, who have access to a similar touch healing spell. DM: (Freezes) Sub-DM: (At me) I think that you broke him. DM: (Makes Wisdom Save) That's just over powered and invalidates Paladin. Me: (Just a grinning.) To be fair, DM only had the Core rule books at the time. He did pick up a copy of Xanathar's recently, and other players have been getting other books. Got an Inquisative (Xanathar's) rogue, a Tabaxi (catfolk) (from Volo's Guide) monk and an Aarakocra (eagle dude) (Elemental Evil Player's Companion) Raven Queen (Unearthed Arcana) warlock.

The only reason I felt it ok to act the way I did was I had a hard labor job and she didn't work at all at the time. I know everyone becomes complacent when things are easy for a long time but if you don't have a job you should at least do some chores around the house for the person who is literally taking the whole load of the roof and food your using.

The last one reminds me of my parents right when they got married and were building their house. My dad had a habit of leaving his work clothes on their bedroom floor when he got home and my mum would pick them up, put them away and tell him to take care of his clothes, to which he always agreed and never did. So one evening her sister in law is over, she’s showing her the house and when they get to the bedroom they find his clothes on the floor. My mum got so fed up she chucked them out the window.

We said no but they could provide a hotel and we would happily attend the 3 day training. They refused unless we paid out of pocket and got reimbursed. I told them to f off. Eventually we forced them to follow the policy which basically says that if you are sending people a certain distance away for training you HAVE to provide the hotel and pay for food and travel. They were not happy, but I sure enjoyed the break from normal work.

I'm not a lawyer but I am a plumber and I will say that a machine is much more efficient and cheaper than labor cost. If you are digging a trunk line for a house that has a negative pitch on a hill, which is commonly rocky, then shovels will not do the job. Grated, this op is not blaming the plumbers directly. Im just saying that until you grab a shovel and try to do an underground tie-in several feet deep dont assume its cost effective.

Ah, those good old expenses policies... A company I worked for many years ago once blocked a claim I made for an overnight hotel stay, because my evening meal claim (which was a maximum of £30) included a movie. As I was there on my own and, at that time, was staying in different hotels around the country three or four nights a week, I was tired of being "that guy" who eats alone in the restaurant, and as I was tired, I ordered a sandwich from room service, which came to around £10. So I checked out the pay movies. Yes, there was porn on there, but I was more interested in one of the blockbusters they were showing - only they were wrong, it wasn't that one, it was actually the Eddie Murphy film, "Metro". Anyways, I put in the claim and was told by my boss that it couldn't be approved with the movie being on it. I argued that the whole thing came to just over half of what the allowance was and he just shrugged his shoulders and said, "Well, that's the policy." One of my colleagues was a big drinker and I happened to know that he would blow the entire £30 allowance on beer, so I said to my boss, "So it's okay to drink the entire amount, but not to try and save the company a few quid?" Apparently yes, this was perfectly acceptable. So the following week, I ate very expensive meals in nearby restaurants for two nights and, on the last night, I took a trip to a supermarket, bought a sandwich and a drink for my evening meal (I'd had a big lunch, so I wasn't overly hungry) and spent up to the limit on stuff I needed at home - tea bags, sugar, tinned goods, that sort of thing. I put in that receipt as my evening meal for that day. My boss looked at the receipt and asked what all that was. I said, "It's all food, so technically it's my evening meal. No movies on there, boss." As there was no policy in place to cover buying produce, it was waved through with no complaints from the expenses team, and I saved over £26 on my grocery bill! Needless to say, the policy soon changed after that.

When it comes to neighbors, we are all human and subject to human emotions and desires. The typical human wants to be able to enjoy their property without nearby property owners ruining it with smells, sounds, etc. If everyone involved are respectful of each other and do their part, everyone involved benefits. When a single property owner decides that they don't care what others think and "do what they want", it makes it harder for their nearby neighbors to enjoy their property. Piss them off enough and they will take matters into their own hands and find a way to ruin your enjoyment of your property. Typically, a neighbor will not try to ruin your enjoyment of your property unless you are ruining their enjoyment of their property. However, there are exceptions for areas with HOAs due to people getting too wrapped up in "the letter of the rules". They see a neighbor breaking a rule and get pissed because they can't break a rule, so they snitch. When there is no HOA and it's just neighbors being neighbors, as long as there is nothing actually destroying the enjoyment of property, they tend to get along "good enough". You can improve relationships by being respectful of their right to enjoy their property and maybe being nice to them and maybe helping them out from time to time. Their natural human traits will encourage them to then help you out from time to time and be nice to you too. Of course, some people have it harder, like me. I suspect I have "high-functioning autism" so my social skills and abilities are just not there. I tend to appear rough around the edges and have a bad habit of saying things I shouldn't. So, for me, I typically just don't interact with neighbors unless I have to, but still try to be respectful of their right to use their property. I've been here about seven years and no problems from neighbors.
