കേന്ദ്രസാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമി ദില്ലിയിൽ സംഘടിപ്പിച്ച പ്രഭാഷണ പരമ്പരയിൽ 1995 നവംബർ 25 ന്‌ ഇഎംഎസ് ഇംഗ്ലീഷിൽ ചെയ്‌ത പ്രഭാഷണത്തിന്റെ ശബ്ദരേഖയാണിത്‌. സ്വന്തം വ്യക്തിത്വത്തെ രൂപപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിൽ സ്വാധീനിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള പുസ്തകങ്ങളെ സംബന്ധിച്ചായിരുന്നു പ്രഭാഷണ പരമ്പര. പ്രഭാഷണ ശേഷം ഇഎംഎസ് ചോദ്യങ്ങൾക്ക്‌ നൽകിയ മറുപടിയും അന്ന്‌ അക്കാദമി സെക്രട്ടറിയായിരുന്ന കവി സച്ചിദാനന്ദന്റെ നന്ദി പ്രസംഗവും ശബ്ദരേഖയിലുണ്ട്‌. Deshabhimani is a Malayalam newspaper and the organ of the State Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). Started as a weekly in Calicut on 6 September 1942 and converted to a daily in 1946. The paper now has ten different printing centres: Calicut, Cochin, Trivandrum, Kannur, Kottayam, Trichur, Malappuram, Palakkad, Alappuzha and Kollam.

Never heard of Isaac Deutscher and during this period he was delving into the depths of reading (the product in book form was titled വായനയുടെ ആഴങ്ങളിൽ). Not knowing Deutscher for a Marxist writer is simply unthinkable.
A personality who influenced Kerala a lot...but analyze his deeds and past then analyze todays politics.. was he really a geat personality or just a personality.
