Isn't tampering with the mail a crime all by itself? She claims to be "family" but she certainly didn't act the way most of us would associate with "family" At the very least, she should be charged so that what she did will become known to her "chums" and social circle, assuming she has either. And so that the credit company will know that it wasn't OP's SO that ran up such a debt, damaging his future credit ratings

People should stop being so reluctant to sue family when they screw them over. That mother who committed the credit card scam should have gone to prison.

I totally agree. My dad tried to help out his sister once and got her car obviously they have the same last name so she took all the paperwork and set she said she was his wife and took out credit cards and bought TV's and computers. The onIy reason why they found out was because they called my dad to tell him his wife's hair appointment was cancelled because the card was declined. The whole family still told my dad he shouldn't do anything because she just needed help. He filed for bankruptcy on that stuff instead and let it go.....

My grandparents are really entitled and made my mother and aunt life not the best ever every time I hear another story I hear child protection service should have investigated or they should have confront them or something. I don't even have the ability to cut them off as they are family according to my mom and they are still my grandparents so I should respect them. Trust me it takes a lot and I mean a lot for someone to go against their parents, if my mom who is a litteral piece of metal in term of strongness is not able to go against her parents I think there are really a handful of people able to do so

I would have straight up called CPS on the lady who left her kids for days. And she wouldn't even answer the phone. Completely negligent parent. What if the kids had gotten worse, had a medical emergency and had to go to the hospital?? I'm sure she didn't leave their insurance cards... She didn't even leave clean clothes or diapers! Legally the hospital would have had to contact CPS.

I'm 29. Still single. And for once, proud to be(nothing but god damn money grubbing bitches looking to leech people of their money these days)

The credit card one, no matter how i see it, it's really a felony. When considered theft, she's stealing $10K, that much money is not at the level of misdemeanor anymore. Card fraud reaching a total of $10K, yep, nothing different from the first one. Financial identity theft, that's obviously a felony no question asked.

Well if she deleted the post because she was getting blasted by everyone, surely that's a hint that you were in the wrong and not the other person?!! Besides, this Karen has a great hubby who is standing up to her and her BS, instead of being spineless like so many other Karen husbands. So perhaps he will be able to convince her. And console his kids and let them know it's ok to be sad about the trip being cancelled, but it is to keep them safe, so they can have some appropriate perspective.... kids learn that from their parents.

I remember when I went to Disney World a long time ago and my memories are still kinda bright we didn’t have a lot of money either, that Karen needs to know that you don’t need a suite to have a memorable experience. Just get a normal room and go to Disney it’s basically the same.

If there’s one silver lining to this social isolation, it’s that the chances of running into Karens are down dramatically.

Kost S All water has toxins in it, including bottled, which usually is tap water that has been filtered. They’ve found that depending on where you live, the tap water is better than some brands of bottled. If you want water with virtually no toxins, distill it.

Bottled water often has more toxins due to companies attempting to quickly filter, bottle, and sell more to gain more money. Sometimes they shorten filtering processes so they can increase production rates. Tap water sometimes does have more toxins due the area that it’s in. Tap water is generally cleaner due to longer sanitization rates. And constant flowing water through pipes stops (or dramatically slows) the build up of rust or bacteria. Don’t call me a nerd, this is common knowledge

Endercat105 Endercat105 something similar happened to my family. My uncle stole another uncle’s identity and costed him thousands! Thankfully the victim uncle pressed charges. The same uncle also stole my my parents Cheques at the beginning of their marriage while they where still college students and had three children

It really perpetuates the idea that you can push people around with lesser consequences and the only thing "wrong" was that "someone was being a butthole and not giving me what I want" instead of the fact that there's a higher order of laws and behaviors that they are breaking with their actions.

She must have believed that her husband would have backed her up 100% because he is soft spoken. That's all I can think of. She also mentioned their marriage was on the rocks so she may have also been trying to use Disney to fix it and when they closed, she started taking it out on the guy on the other end of the phone. She had the ultimate sense of entitlement and it's even worse because she could not see it in herself. She believed she was entirely justified even when the guy on the phone said that everyone's trips had been cancelled and that they would all be refunded. Absolute trash. I get she wants what's best for her kids, but does she NOT understand that literally hundreds of thousands of people who wanted to go to Disneyland were going through the SAME thing? No of course not.

They usually reserve that room for make a wish kids, or they give it away to a random family every now and then. I've heard it's an awesome room, but you can't leave it at night, as you are in the middle of the Magic Kingdom, and night is when all the maintenance crews fix and clean everything. I'm sure that would have also been unacceptable to this lady.

Recently started following these posts. My favorite part of them is when you can't contain your amusement and break character to laugh at the shenanigans. (you have an infectious laugh, I swear I'm not a creeper, I promise I won't comment again. *blushes madly in embarrassment*) =D

it's so funny how she complains about bad tap water, when Australia literally (original definition) puts fluorine in their water reserves. Fluorine is the stuff in toothpaste that is good for your teeth.

I feel extremely sad for the dad in this story. I perfectly picture the scene in my head, and it seems like a huge nightmare ! I wouldn't wish that to anyone !

The fact that the guy didnt sue his mom after stealing his money. He needs a reality check

This actually isn't that unusual, I've heard stories about kids doing it to their parents with the same results. Just deal with it internally. Frankly as long as I get the money from them I don't care, not going to trust them again, but don't care all the same.

I genuinely want to believe that she was as calm about this as she seems the whole time, and that she's just really delusional. I'm happy with most anything that isn't screaming, cursing, or just plain rude. She actually seems to be a delusional lady that doesn't understand that she did something wrong. I love the way she portrayed the customer service rep, and while the way he was described was slightly unprofessional, it feels like what a normal person would say to a crazy person, so it's at least believable, not to mention a bit humorous.

Oh that pastor kid one hit hard. My dad’s first parish(the one he was at for the first 15 years of his ministry, and the first 8 years of my life) was awful! So I have an older brother, a younger sister, and a younger brother. We also were living in a dying town(no new young people moving in, barely any couples with children, no stores or gas stations, the school closed down, things like that). I don’t really remember much of what happed(my parents shielded my siblings and I from most of it), but some things were when we’d go to advent services with a neighboring church, they’d say ‘Make sure your kids are dressed nice, don’t embarrass our church!’ Even though every Sunday we were dressed in our finest. Mom made a point to dress us in our worst nicest clothes(not stained or anything, but def not very fancy). That may not sound too bad, but they’d literally pay my dad less than neighboring pastors(heck he makes a better living with the church he’s with now which is like 1/7th the size from gifts and general friendship from his new parish) and, since we lived in a parsonage, barge in at all hours seeking my dad.(Side note this same church would go to a restaurant all together and steal the sugar and salt packets when the church was out. Before we left we got them a big box of the stuff.) They’d also get on my parent’s case because we were being sent to a Christian school in another state(we were close to the border) instead of the public school that the surrounding towns made that shut down all the other schools in the area. My dad ended up having a mental breakdown when I was in kindergarten or first grade. I bet if we were old enough they would’ve tried to make us free babysitters(if anyone had any children lmao).

To the lady complaining about Disneyland: people are DYING in America right now because of this virus. Now, sure, it's not cool that your kids have to learn that sometimes things don't work out for them, but news flash: that was a life lesson they were going to get eventually anyway. I don't think anyone is having fun with this nightmare, so the least we can all do is recognize this is a time of troubles, and not make MORE troubles for our neighbors and those in the various service industries. When I was little, my dad would cash out his paychecks in my name at may bank... and actually have the checks made out to me. It sounds so suspicious now, but he let me keep the three dollars and whatever cents, while he took the hundreds. As a child (well, teenager) it's a positive boon, later I found out I owed the IRS for the full amount or something, for money I got to hold for a few minutes, IDK. Whoops!
