Also does she expect all guys to wear booty shorts too? I mean, I usually am wearing shorts that don't go past my knees but it doesn't make sense to say that on any level. You won't be bullied for not wearing that clothing, and if you're friends make fun of you for it, get new ones.

“I’M NOT GOING TO LEARN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE BECAUSE I’M IN AMERICA” I’m in America too, but I’m working on becoming not just bilingual, but TRILINGUAL. Knowing a foreign language is really useful out in the world, no matter what country you’re in. It also looks really good on your resume. Never pass up the opportunity to learn one, kids. Even if you can’t take any classes for one at school, there are plenty of free resources out there that can help! Irish Hearts Yeah, and it’s possible to spoil a kid without making them entitled, and it’s kinda hard, but worth it! I’ll list the needs for any confused parents. 1. A spatula. (And The will to hit a kid, but the control to not actually hurt them) 2. Some really harsh words. This is what I needed to awake me from a trance a toxic friend had put me in. Parents, be open minded about children’s friends, but sometimes you’re seriously right about them. Only go this far if you’re prepared to scar this child for YEARS to wake them up. Don’t waste this on a edgy teen phase, a spatula, advice, and affection is enough to cure that. Plus, it’s just children experimenting and find themselves. You really shouldn’t leave them mentally broken for years over a naturally occurring identity crisis. You don’t need to break them, you need to protect them when they’re in the edgy phase, as those are critical and shaping years. There WILL be defiance, so you just to shape the child up properly and they’ll be set for life with financial aid and some serious advice from you. Just don’t let the child leech off of you. 3. Knowledge. You need to be aware of your children’s friends, potentially dangerous pastimes and special events. My mom couldn’t reach me when I had a toxic and manipulative friend, because she didn’t intervene before it got serious. If a child friends is actually affecting them or you don’t spend enough time with the child, it can have lasting effects. You’d be surprised how much not showing up to a recital can effect a child. 4. A healthy balance between discipline and love. That test little Jimmy made a C on in 2nd grade isn’t gonna matter within a month, so why say things that will stick with little Jimmy well beyond that? You may think the kid will forget, but they won’t. Everybody makes mistakes, but yours could cost someone their childhood. Because EK had no emotional attachment to it and hadn't developed the habit of playing with it and taking care of it like OP did. So he rarely thought about it, only remembering when he was short on money. Maybe if EK had had it to himself for a few months before OP borrowed it, EK would have cared more about getting it back. And maybe there was a little bit of subconscious acknowledgement that he was in the wrong. It also sounds like OP and EK are both kinda dumb.

Idk man, there was a girl on a the softball team I was playing against in middle school who was kind of like this. Her teams pitcher was gone, so she yelled at her mom (the coach/sponsor for her team) to find one and her mom walked over to us, threw her Karen hair cut over her shoulder, and ordered our pitcher play against our own team. Our coach was in the rest room and came back to find us near chaos in the dugout trash talking the other coach amongst ourselves and practically seething with rage. We were so satisfied when our coach pulled our girl off the field and pulled the other coach off to the side to talk. We won by default because the other team now had no pitcher and couldn’t play without one (obviously).

So I got a similar story involving foreign language. It has an absolutely savage ending! I was working for a popular taco-themed restaurant in the us. We'll call it Taco Chime. While working the front counter, this man in his 40's walks in with a guy about 17 or 18 ish. They both look incredibly annoyed with one another. I give them my friendly greeting and ask what they'd like to order. Older man orders then turns towards his son. He asks him what he wants. Son responds, in french. Dad looks annoyed and re-asks the question. Once more kid responds, in french. The dad, clearly furious says loudly, "Son we're in America. Just because you spent one summer in France doesn't make you french, speak American.". I was aghast but before I could even say a word the son, in english says. "Well, that's funny because even though you spent one night in my mom, that doesn't make you my dad. This is America and I can speak whatever language I want. Get on my level."

@@gamergilbert4438 i understand your point but most likely the child will be harassed because some people do think hey if that child is wearing such revealing clothes maybe she does this or that, i honestly do get your point but maybe the person that made that comment had has it happen to them or seen it before, the person can also be concerned about the child cause pedophiles will most likely target that child cause they think hey since she's so so confident in showing so much skin then maybe I can do this or that to her. Plus sometimes the way you dress will show what kind of person u are cause some people see the way you dress as a way you express who you are. I also get how that can be blaming the victim trust me i have had something happen to me where the person who did such a bad thing blamed the victim or the people around them did cause they were the ones who did it first or wore that although please just understand that the person of the comment might have said that for a reason or two like the example i gave and they might also think that cause of the way she acts cause like I said pedophiles will target some girls or boys that dress like that and have that kind of mindset. Since they think it'll be easier since the kids are rebellious to their parents or just plain spoiled.Pedophiles, rapists and many other bad people use thoses things to their advantage. I'm very sorry for having you read this long comment 😅

I remember when i was younger I used to act just like the girl in the first story, being an all-around brat and telling my mom that nothing she picked look good on me and she didn't have the same style as I liked. My mom spent a lot of money on justice clothes bc I wanted to wear ONLY those clothes, which I never wore, I still have them, brand new with the tags still attached. As I got older I realized just how rude and selfish i was being and apologized to my mother. She forgave me and now she brings up us not having the same style as a joke. I found out just how much she spent on justice clothes when i added up all the tags that were in my closet a while back and it was well over $400. I felt so guilty that I started tearing up. I ran to my mom and told her how sorry I was. For the last few months I've been slowly paying her back with the tips I get back as a waitress, she has no idea bc the first time I tried to straight-up give her money she refused and wouldn't take it, so I snuck it into her purse where she keeps her money. I love my momma so much and if i ever came across my young preteen and teen self I'd smack the shit outta myself for behaving that way to such a caring and loving mother who worked 2 jobs just to keep food on my table, a roof over my head and clothes on my back.
