R/C Garbage Truck Packing!

The Norba RL35 model performing three compaction cycles, then driving away.
Havn't made any big progress since my last videos. The main difference is that some of the lights are working. Left to build is the container hoist system, and new side panels for the container. Hopefully that will be finished within a few months,, hopefully! ;-)

All the way to one and twenty seconds before I realized it was just a model! Amazing!
Awesome, looking better and better. Love the tail lights and the small control console. A driveable replica... without having to touch it =]

I just made one like this yesterday but it doesn't have an automated packer and no chassis or cab yet. This truck inspired me to make my own
great model...really well done

Nice to hear that my videos inspire feelings of nostalgia. Thats got to be some form of success! :-D
Nice work man... Does it have an operable eject panel and eject cylinder? Is the hopper/packer designed off of any particular (real) garbage truck body?
Constructed and builtit myself. Hydraulics are from Leimbach Modellbau and some chassis parts and the modified Cab come from Wedico.
this can come in handy for keeping your house clean I love it
Will you make a different truck once this one is done, like a side loader or front loader?
Very realistic and cool !

What do you use to make the little garbage bags?
Great job with this! Now all you need is a waste transfer facility, and you've got both the entire old style "Barbie" and "G.I. Joe" figures trash removal contracts!
@SeRefuseTrucks

Thanks! A transfer facility, with an overhead crane and a compactor would of course be fun. But the space needed for that is a little to large for my current taste. ;)
Where did you buy the trash bags?
Where do u get this? I really want one.
love to see how you did the ejector in there did you do a multi stage piston ? if so did you make it ?

The cab is a Wedico F12. I shortened it down to a daycab which fits much better as a garbage truck. There are alternatives to the lego cylinders. Check out my other truck. :-)

Where you buy that thing please answer me 🥺 I really like that
Hey what length cylinders did you end up using on the compactor blade. Also the ejector. I'm building my own right now. Also are you using a sequence valve for the compaction cycle or just operating each motion from radio in the right sequence
@SeRefuseTrucks
2 жыл бұрын
Hi, The slide panel cylinders have 55mm stroke, with a retracted length of 55+39,5=94,5mm. The packer cylinders have 35mm stroke, with a retracted length of 35+39,5=74,5mm. The ejector panel cylinder have 145mm stroke, with a retracted length of 145+39,5=184,5. These cylinders are Leimbach with Ø12mm size. The tailgate lift cylinders are standard Leimbach 7mm cylinders, with 50mm stroke. There is no automation for the pack cycle, I just operate the valves in the correct sequence. I prefer electric simplicity.. ;-) Are you going to build a Norba as well, or are you looking at something else? I'm looking forward to hear and see more of your project! =)
@joeyclark789
2 жыл бұрын
@@SeRefuseTrucks yeah I'll definitely keep you updated. It's not going to be a norba. Most likely it will be modeled after a 90s leach or mcneilus because that's what I grew up around as a kid. I haven't decided yet as I'm still buying everything up. It's going to be based off of a globeliner frame and I'm building the rear scratch out of aluminium I bought. it will be tig welded. My cylinder lengths may be different I just wanted a ballpark figure to design around. Thank you so much for answering.
@SeRefuseTrucks

@@joeyclark789 No problem, I am always excited when I hear that others start similar projects, although most never complete their builds. Both the Leach 2R and the McNeilus rear loaders are really hard to make accurate models of in this scale (1:Tamiya?). The problem is that the base length of the available scale model cylinders are too large in comparison to the stroke. It is also hard to get enough room for the relatively large hydraulic fittings. But of course, all depends on what level of accuracy you require. The Leach Alpha would be relatively easy to make in comparison. Keep me updated on your progress!
Fantastic!

Please let me know if there is a way to communicate with you about how much you would want to build and sell a truck comparable to the one in the video. My boys love watching this truck and ask me all the time how can we go about getting one. This is one of a kind and you’re the man that can make it happen.

Is there any trucks like this to purchase. My nephew really wants a trash truck that does exactly what this one does.
@SeRefuseTrucks
6 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately no, there are no comparable trucks on the market. The closest thing would be the Haller X2 rear loader from bruder.
You Guys are Devils! They Built This RC!
Unfortunately, there are only single-acting telescopic cylinders in this scale. So I chose to use an ordinary double-acting cylinder instead. The result is the ability to position the unloading plate anywhere I want to, but I can only use about 60% of the body volume. But the 40% in front of the blade is useful for housing valve blocks etc. If I can, I will show this, but it is difficult as the inside of the body is black. The darkness "hides" the components that shouldnt be there irl.
