1:31 Adding to RSlash’s point, alcohol doesn’t make you do stuff against your will. It lowers inhibitions, shuts down that voice that says “Uh actually that’s not a good idea.” So drunk dad wanting to kiss his daughter always had that desire - a MAJOR red flag.

@tiryaclearsong421
Жыл бұрын
@@kaitlynhenson7157 It is mostly true. There are semi caveats. Basically alcohol impairs the filter between what you think impulsively and what you say and do. So you might say things that are meaner or harsher than you meant to be or come out differently than you meant. Think of it like how hard it is to meaningfully communicate with someone who is very sleep deprived. They might be overly emotional and not make a lot of sense. They might lash out like a toddler if you try and take their keys or put them to bed. They also might be very suggestable and vulnerable to any predators. However, just because every single thing they say or do isn't literally something they believe deep down, doesn't excuse most behavior people try to blame on being drunk. Generally, if you are a bad drunk then you have to learn to never get past tipsy. I am an argumentative drunk. I like fighting with people over nothing. So I am a two drinks max person. When I'm sober it doesn't even occur to me to argue with people about nothing and be a giant pedant just to stimulate my brain. Unfortunately drunk me finds it amazingly fun. But that is also a super minor issue. A bit worse than suddenly deciding Taco Bell is the best restaurant ever and you need to eat five days worth of food from there at 3am, but also not much worse. Because alcohol doesn't fundamentally change you as a person.

That first one stresses me out. The fact that he's been manipulating the mom for years to sleep with her daughter - that implies (to me, since she's 19) that he was doing this even when she was a minor. @@Masenken Honestly, some women would do ANYTHING to cling to a relationship, including putting their kids at risk. He was manipulating the mom sure, but it takes a certain kind of woman to be willing to cave to that I feel. I was very close to a girl who had a similar parent. Mom was with a super abusive guy (her Dad) who beat her and the siblings. She made all the money, he didn't work, and refused to acknowledge the abuse to her kids until she found another guy (this is how she told the story mind you, she met another guy who "showed her what love was") and jumped ship. Sadly next guy was a child predator and when my friend told her mom he had started molesting her nightly. She firstly didn't believe her and said it was "Satan" putting thoughts in her head. Then got a weird bout of jealousy...Yeah. The girl's aunt told her mom to leave him because he was obviously a creep and the mom's defense was "No, I can't keep starting over. I know he's the one for me!" etc. etc. She passed away a little over a decade ago when my friend was 14 (this started when she was 8 mind you). Believe me when I say we're both happy the one willing to enable the abuse is gone just as much as the abuser.

Yeah this is a pedo stalker type they link to a minor generally a easy target like one attached to a single mom then they love bomb, gaslight, and entrap the mom in a conartisty way to get to be close to their target this one was aware of law so waited until his chosen victim was legal. Many more can't control their fantasy obsessions thus didle and the obsession moves to the next kid etc hence why many kids report it being more then one victim. Its basically the main male con in relationships Like the baby trap being the female to con. And is a big reason both single moms and single men fear getting into relationships these days because all the good ones are either hermits or already taken so those who are left tend to be creep conartists.

@@TheBenole Not at all. The writing styles are completely different. OP seems to talk in an almost clinical way, while the husband seems to use more gilded language to encouch his shittiness. Also, OP used a throwaway it seems, and just because two people who know each other both use Reddit, it doesn't mean they both follow each other. But most importantly, it doesn't appear that the husband _wanted_ the intervention. That appears to be sarah's idea. Even his participation in it and description of it sounds more like "My life is comfortable how it is, and I have an excuse to be around my true love, and I don't want to lose that" as opposed to "I fucked up, I fucked up bad, but I love my wife dearly and couldn't imagine being with any woman other than her." I'm willing to bet that if sarah opened with "Would you rather have an intervention to save your marriage, or to sign your divorce papers and marry me?", the husband would have called OP and BEGGED her to contact a divorce lawyer ASAP and he'll agree to any terms as long as he can move in with sarah that night.

He always wanted to be with Sarah, and being drunk just gave him the push he needed. That wasn't a mistake. It was a CHOICE.
Story 1: I unfortunately am going through a similar issue. Instead of my stepdad, it’s my step brother. I have pretended to be okay with his presence for years since he s*xually assaulted me (when I was a minor, he was in his late 20s) The night it happened, I called my actual brother and he came over with a golf club. My mom was literally acting conflicted and trying to defend him saying he’s drunk and just lost his wife. I’m 21 now, I’ve finally started being strict with my boundaries with my parents. It’s hard. It’s so hard. They aren’t supportive. My mom has told me to let go of the past so many times and how I’m dramatic, even going as far as saying what happened didn’t happen. He’s invited to all family events and I know it’s going to be extremely hard with this. I’ve tried making boundaries the first year I moved out, but I just wanted to keep the peace. I had to see him recently bc my grandparents hold a Christmas thing. Nobody else knows what he did to me, other than my parents and my actual brother and his wife. I’m too afraid to talk about it. I know if I did and they were to stop inviting him to stuff, my mom would be blaming me left and right. I have so much abuse stories. It’s extremely hard setting boundaries because I know how abusive my dad was to her and my brother (will absolutely not get into that.) I don’t wanna be around my stepbrother at all, he made a gross comment about my chest last Christmas in my own house. I’ve legitimately pretended to be okay with being around him for the sake in not losing my parents and to keep the family at peace because I cannot mentally handle what would pursue.. I finally did, he isn’t invited to my Christmas, i ignored him and stayed far away from him at my grandparents and stuck by my brother and his wife. (Also my brother currently has my mom cut off completely, and mom makes that my problem all the time by constantly trying to get me to talk for her and get his new address and just shit I will NOT do.) I love my mom so much, she’s a very generous woman and tbh I’m mentally attached to her her but she’s so awful and she doesn’t respect me. My mom and stepdad help me with groceries sometimes when I struggle, I tell them not to but they send money which makes it harder for me to know what to do about anything. She allowed me to be abused by another family member physically for the entirety of my teen hood because she didn’t wanna lose them. She denies any abuse ever happened, unless when she’s the victim, then it’s important. I just wanted to relate a bit with the story since I’m currently going through hell with my parents regarding boundaries. I don’t wanna cut them off but I may end up having to and that crushes me. Again, there’s so much context and a lot of stories I have. But I just wanted to share something I relate with a little. I’m glad I’m not alone but at the same time, it’s awful. Nobody deserves to of through any of this sort of thing. (Also apologies if my grammar or anything was shit, I’m sleep deprived and it’s hard to type right now. Thank you for listening)
A similar situation to the first story happened to people I know. My best friend's dad was a sex addict and tried coming on to my friend's half sister, excusing it with the fact that he wasn't her father. He'd been involved with her mother and in her life since she was 13.

Story 2; husband's story: I like that he was trying to defend himself, how do you justify wanting someone better because you believe your marriage is boring, and then got dead drunk with another married woman and had passionate hugging, he's right, it doesn't make him look worse, what the husband did ruined and destroyed his 10 year marriage, in the span of 6 months, beyond repair. If you're the type of person who openly says you settled for less, I consider you a shitty spouse no matter what you justify it with

Story 1: Wow. Just . . . Wow. I can't imagine being that mother or being the step parent in that scenario and just being okay with it. That is disgusting beyond belief. Story 2: You see this, this is why you don't get married that young. Even after two years of dating. Me and the man in my life confessed when we were 19. As of this November, we'll have been in the talking stages for two years. We're going much slower than one would suggest, but we're still taking it slow. If we had started dating when we were 20, I wouldn't be jumping into marriage at 22. I also don't know what I'd do if my husband was cheating on me with my best friend. Personally, my best friend doesn't have those kinds of standards but just hearing your partner or spouse say, "Oh, your best friend (or even family member) is more attractive than you but because they had someone else, I settled for you," even without the cheating just shatters your self esteem, your whole world. They're supposed to be the only person's opinion you care about, the person who's supposed to love you inside and out and who'll want to tell you how wonderful you are. They're not supposed to make you sound second fiddle to your best friend or even their own. Story 2 the husband's side: Sir, what you say makes you sound worse in comparison to your wife. Also, why don't you just talk to her. Get your face out of your screen and just talk and explain things to her like a normal human being. Granted, your first bad move wasn't not saying anything. IT WAS OPENING YOUR MOUTH AND SAYING HOW YOU SETTLED FOR YOUR OWN WIFE, YOU JERK!!!! The man is an idiot.

Some dug through reddit....and apparently in the comments of his post he admitted that he and Sarah had been sleeping together during like 4 years of their marriage but it stopped when Sarah got married. (Which explains why she handled things the way she did...cuz I initially found the "intervention" odd) and he said a number of other things that showed him to be a completely self absorbed narcissist who legit thought his post was putting the blame on his wife. (He truly thought the world would see it as her having done him wrong by not being exciting enough for him...he thought the world would agree he didn't need to participate in his own marriage to make it work) His main character syndrome had him thinking that people not catering to him would be seen by strangers around the globe as awful. 🤣🤣🤣 so you are more right than you ever could have guessed by calling his intelligence into question. Lol.

The first story hits close to home for me. My sister was abused by my mother's partners (including my biological father) for years. I didn't know any of this because I was a baby (9 year age gap), so when I turned 18, I told my sister I wanted to find my biological father (he left when I was 6 months old) and she sat me down and told me truth. I remember feeling distraught and helpless cos there was nothing I could do to change it but it made us closer as sisters
In that first story, I really feel for the fourteen year olds. I was fourteen just a couple years ago and I was like that too, doubtful of the words of others. It's a good thing they were safe in the meantime and that they weren't further fooled

The first story/updates to it genuinely sound like a failed attempt at grooming considering his plan all along was to wait till she was legal. Incest aside which is bad enough on its own, this is textbook grooming, manipulation and abuse. While I haven't agreed with you for a while now, I do agree with your assessment of this.
The first OP asking if she should break her sister's heart was absolutely sad.. she never did anything wrong, all she would be doing is telling on a monster and his absolute manipulation..
I can totally relate to OP in the first story. Only they didn't ask, he just did it. From 6-12, and my mom never knew but when court happened she didn't believe me and sided with him. My dad did, and he took me in, saving me from foster care.

Dude I'm not going to lie that first story was so disturbing and sad to hear at the same time because I just feel bad for the original poster in her siblings because of the fact that they were raised by a sexual predator and it's just like so disgusting like how far the situation went but thankfully the original poster had her and an uncle there to back her up and get her siblings out of that situation and man that was just hard to listen to
Thank God, OP and her sisters got out safe! People like Scott should never be a stepdad or a dad in general.
At the end, it sounded to me like Dabney called it "messed up redditor updates." That would definitely have been a good title.
Story 2 - when the ex-husband’s side of the story was announced, I was very curious on how he’d be able to defend his action. Turns out the answer was “horribly.” In what universe does that guy think that any of what he did was even remotely ok?
The number of times I’ve been called a whore, slut, skank etc. for saying no to sleeping with men is ridiculous. I’m not surprised whatsoever that that was the step dad’s response.
I really really appreciate you naming what the specific trigger warnings were, I have noticed some podcasts/KZreadrs will say “trigger warning” but don’t give any sort of information about what is triggering, so I just really appreciate that from you ❤
Second op: The husband needs therapy, he’s an asshole for leading her on but he got some toxic defense mechanisms, like completely ignoring her question. If he wants to redeem himself at all he should work things out with himself.
Be me: -At work, relaxing and with free time waiting for this video to pop up -All call on the radio “Fuel spill in the hanger” -Be me waiting for the “This is a drill” -Silence … … … … -BE ME, GETTING FULLY BLOUSED GRABBING MY CRANIAL AND RUNNING.
My stepdad has been around since I was 11 and I’m in my 30s now and he’s never done anything inappropriate and I’m pretty sure if he’d heard the story he’d be disgusted like to his core that seems like the kinda guy he’d beat up. And probably get my mom to beat up the mom for cosigning that request. You raised despite blood or not that child as your own the fact that he can see her as anything but is disgusting
I've been listening to rslash every morning without fail for years, I think this might be the most crazy compilation yet.

You know someone messes up real bad when rslash swears without censoring
Oh God I literally just got out of the shower.... I think I need to turn right the hell around and take another after that first story. 😳
The first story is disgusting. The mom is just as bad as the pathetic step dad. Im glad she and her sisters got out of the situation. Honestly scared for the baby the mom is about to have, what if the same thing happens to them? I hope the second story escalates into a prorevenge story.
I wouldn't be surprised if it's not illegal for him to have sex with her. In my country it's not illegal for a guardian to have sex with their dependent if the dependent is over 18 and not blood related. So, as an extreme example.. an adopted child could have sex with their parents legally once they turn 18. Which is.. pretty damn disturbing.
Honestly as OP I’d probably have told my sisters something along the lines of “You’ll never believe me if i tell you what’s wrong, not in a millions years, because honestly….. I still don’t believe it. And it happened TO ME.” This isn’t good advice but it’s just what I would have said in the situation
The first story is absolutely insane and I was holding my breath every time you said there was another update I am so thankful that some progress has been made for her. It is so disgusting I could literally throw up
Second story reminded me of something that happened to me. I dont think mine was as serious as a marriage, but it was shitty and it shattered my world nonetheless. I emigrated with my bf at the time in search for a better future and basically running from the Venezuelan crisis. I was working crazy hours at night in a very exploitative job so I ended up getting very sick after almost a year of that. My bf suggested I quit my job and he supports me while I get healthy. Days later I find a text on our phone with his ex gf about how much he regrets not fuckin her. I was jobless, depressed, sick and knew nobody in this new country. And this, and that second story is why I dont trust people to actually love me.

This is just a theory. But what if he doesn't see his step daughter as his real daughter (not even as a relative or related to him in any way) and thinks it's morally okay to do so? Not that it makes it any better but it's at least better for the other children in the house.

the first story just breaks my heart, its horrible how OP's mom is so okay with it. And i know how much it hurts to have that happen with people you think you could trust... its horrible and im so glad that they all got out okay. Any survivors of SA that see this just know that you aren't alone and there are people that will help you, even if it does take a while, and i hope you are doing okay now.
That last part wasn't the husband's side of the story. He talks about the same event and describes them the same. Those "2 sides" were written by the same author.
Before watching RSlash: "Man, my sleep was great, my breakfast was good, life is perfect!" After watching today's video: *furious drywall smashing noises*
Story2- op husband literally said yea I just dated her cuz she seemed interested, he never truly liked her he literally just married her because why not, like he didn't even try to find someone he would actually care about, just took an easy road because why not
Story One: BASH THEM! OP's StepDad not ONLY wanted to have sex with someone who's basically his FAMILY, but her Mom straight up ASKED her to SLEEP WITH HER HUSBAND, even LAUGHING at OP when she told her Mom about what Scott said when he was drunk! HOW THE HELL can you laugh at your OWN DAUGHTER and brush off her words of worry and concern, not to mention making your adult child try and sleep with a STEP PARENT! So I'd not ONLY tell my sisters what's wrong with their parents, I'd blow this up on my SOCIAL PAGE and inform my FAMILY about the SO MUCH WRONG that both the Mom AND StepDad are trying to do! This isn't just incest, this is a CRIMINAL OFFENSE, not to mention a possible SEXUAL ABUSE!
I hope he keeps an eye on those last two stories from the husband and the wife because I am quite curious how it truly ends
It also really bothers me that that woman is pregnant... She's gonna bring another child into that family I hope they keep an eye on them and probably take that kid away as well
For the younger viewers: the influence of alcohol make people less inhibited. The things they do while drunk, are things they would think about while sober, but probably not act on. Alcohol kind of knocks out that internal censor. So when people are excessively amorous or violent while drunk, it's a window into what really lies underneath. They're telling you who they really are, when they stop thinking about the consequences. If you can't trust someone when they're drunk, you shouldn't trust them at all ever.
Also for anyone’s information if Rslash didn’t mention it. You are in way more control of yourself than tv and movies show you when you get drunk. Of course there’s a limit and you can drink too much. But regardless you still have way more control than you’re shown to have in media
>rSlash warns me that the first story has trigger warnings. "I know not fear, for I am fear incarnate." >Transphobia (I'm a transwoman) and incest. "May Imperial Justice account in all balance... The Emperor Protects." *Proceeds to commence Exterminatus*
I am so happy to hear the conclusion of that first story. Not every country has the same laws surrounding it, but I believe that trying to have sex with someone to who you are the caregiver is illegal. Abuse of power, grooming, all that and more. Even if someone is above the age of 18, this is still a form of child predator even. And as the story unfolded itself, it appears that he's been setting something like this up ever since she was like 14. The scariest part is that if op was a bit more malleable and insecure, and stepdad was smarter about it, he might have gotten away with it. 14 year olds are more impressionable then they think after all. And if he's actually trying to influence those girls at age 14, then it's a good thing that they are all out now because he'd just continue on to the next one. That last story: "that's my first mistake", boy I was already at like 4 at that point?
The last two stories about husband settling for OP when he couldn't have Sarah: Apparently, OP's husband and Sarah were sleeping together FOR FOUR YEARS of OP's marriage until Sarah herself got married! These two people are the scum of the earth for what they did to OP, and he honestly thinks OP would stay with him after finding out??
That guys story, trying to explain his side, was literally just her story but his POV. Like everything she said he did...he did lmao. Guy deserves everything coming to him.
