To all the Jenny's of the world: I'm so fucking sorry you went through this. My mother was a victim of this as well, and it kills me to see the way it affects her. Breaks my fucking heart. But please don't give up, to everyone. There's so much more to life than the pain, and it takes a while to learn that, but it eventually will all settle at the bottom.

Bro. You made me cry RA. I was 19 when I found my brother dead from heroin overdose. I performed CPR just hoping I could get him back. It didnt happen. I became so fucked up snorting xanax thinking that would fix my problem. It didnt. It wasn't until my first daughter that I became alive again. Between this song and First Born. You have made me feel so alive. One Love RA

I'm sorry for your loss. I've lost so many friends to heroin/fentanyl I've honestly lost count. I live in the Hudson valley in NY - it's right above the city and all these counties have enormous amounts of overdoses and especially in the past 6 years because of carfentanil and fentanyl. That shit makes heroin look like a tylenol with codeine. Idk if you use or not but either way please try not to because it is a battle almost impossible to win. I mean shit, I'm on methadone bc of it and that's the only thing that helped me get off street drugs. Sorry for the long comment - this video hit a chord on my heart and I saw you lost a friend and just wanted to relate I guess. God bless

I hear you buried way to many friends and around this time last year buried my mom from alchohol she had some problems but instead of getting help for them she drank and ended up drinking herself to death , worst day of my life and I've been through a lot , buried 3 family members in the past year and they all came within 9 months of each other. Songs like this hit home and it's why I respect artists like ra for giving us music we can actually feel instead of all the bullshit that gets all the attention because they have so much money backing them.

It’s honestly sad when your show your friends R.A. and they don’t like him. So many of my friends that “love” hip hop can’t respect a rapper that actually has a story to tell rather than talk about “pussy money and weed” every single song. R.A. is the truth and more people should give his music a chance. ALSO, R.A. if you see this, please don’t make us wait 7 years for a new album again ❤️

Read this about Ruck today, an old post but still.. Price stood for authenticity in rap, he articulated the conscience of the music. He was more alpha than Drake or Meek could ever wish to be, and as his friend Just Blaze told NPR, he was also a geek who loved comic books and the simple things in life. He was capable of containing multitudes because he was real. But realness often doesn’t sell, unless it’s packaged a certain way. “If your fav underground artist is still alive, tell them that now,” she implored. “Seeing all these tributes to Sean P No way he knew how much he was loved.” Luv ya RA

Damn, that was deep. Definitely not expected, but necessary. In these times of mumble rap and b.s., I like to see some truth in hip hop, positive or not. Hip hop was originally about telling stories about what's going on in the world. I think RA definitely did that on this one.

Watchin my mom go through losing her two oldest children was the worst and then to have to watch her youngest (me) go thru addictions to meth and then heroin! Great track! RA it made me really appreciate where I am now and how happy I’ve made my mom by turning my life around and giving her a grandson!

Man.. I felt this joint R.A. and resonate heavily with the Heroine part. I’m glad that I made it through that part of my life and am still here even tho I shouldn’t be. I never understood or took a second to think how my moms or girl or sister felt when they wondered if that was the last time they’d say “bye” to me or “see you next week”. Getting calls that I’d OD’d and was in the Hospital was probably worrisome, but would’ve been much worse if it was a call to say I was gone. Thanks for this one R.A.!

RAnny Smith thanks brother! I’m not fully past it yet tho, next step is getting off the Suboxone. But I been off the down now for 5yrs, quit blazing too. Say what you want about ODP (Opioid Dependency Programs) if it weren’t for Suboxone or Methadone (never went on Methadone, and never wanted to) I probably would still be using and going in and outta detox and rehab, or worse, Dead. They saved my life, and many others who use the program how it’s intended and aren’t just using it to keep them from getting dopesick or selling their scripts. People who never been through opiate withdrawal and the dopesickness from not having it will never understand why they grip you so hard and is extremely hard to “just stop”.

RA is such a legend. He’s the only white emcee to ever record a song with Biggie in the studio. He was blackballed for things like taking a shit on a studio equipment and just being wild AF. One year at the GOTJ in Oklahoma (only year there) the cops tried to shut down his set for noise ordinance and cut off his mic and speakers. So he picked up a megaphone and did his whole set acapella . He’s rapped crazy things, straight give no Fxcks. Then there’s deep songs that move you like this, Still Gets Me Through the Day, Uncommon Valor should be played in history classes. He released a music video over Taylor Swift beat and killed it. He did a video with his child in a baby carrier strapped to his check and still came off hard AF. RA is a hiphop icon!
