Weis and Hickman changed the world for us AD&D fans back in the day. Yeah, i heard the dice in the first book too, but they got better. the original trilogy has been a part of me ever since, and i think i've only re-read it maybe once. Magical writing.

Only 9000 views? I love their books; I've been reading through the War of Souls lately, at the beginning of Dragons of a Vanished Moon right now. All three of these people, R.A. Salvatore, Margaret Weis, and Tracy Hickman created the stories that I liked to read as a child. In fact, the very first novel that I read when I was 7 was 'Dragons of the Autumn Twilight'. I wasn't really interested in reading until I picked that up. That opened up the world for me; I started to read David Eddings, Robert Silverberg, Alan Dean Foster, Roger Zelazny, Jules Verne, Michael Chrichton. The one that started it all, for me, was one book by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman.
Margaret Weis, Tracy Hickman, and Salvatore are some of the all time best fantasy authors ever. I've read the Dragonlance Chronicles and the Dark Elf trilogy and recently finished reading the Death Gate Cycle. And after having read that, I can't help but wonder if it's true that the four worlds in the series had been that of the world of Krynn.

From what I gathered the four world's from the Deathgate Cycle are made from our Earth, not from Krynn.
Man I wanted way more than that. Like an hour or two.

Dragons of the Autumn Twilight has to be one of my favorite books.
Chronicles and Legends defined my teen fantasy reading experience more than even comic books. They were my escape and peace and solace in my teens.
Reading the Darksword Trilogy now (I'm in book 2) and it's great!!
