Quite a satisfying piece of justice - L11UAX on the phone

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Well, it was more like 14 months than 6 months till he was on KZread. I also don't get why he/the registered owner was so afraid of identifying themselves to the police for prosecution - what a cowardly act, IMO. Ah well, the fine for failure to comply is worse than most mobile fines, and the points are the same. Well deserved.

Get your own life. And there's no such thing as road tax. Most of all, as a driver, you're only on the road via revocable licence; your driving is a privilege and not a right. Don't believe me? Look at the playlist of disqualified drivers on my channel. Includes Guy Ritchie, the film director. Cyclists, pedestrians and horse riders/carriages all use the public highway by right. So get lost with your road tax - it's actually a pollution tax called VED. Plus you're a freeloader as a driver - the sum of motoring taxes is far less than the sum cost of motoring to society. Pay your way or shut up.

Erm, there's no such thing? And its against the law to operate your phone and drive. The driver knew that. When he realised he'd been spotted, he reacted like a little child caught with his hand in the biscuit tin. I have been knocked off my bike by two motorists. One was avoidable if he'd been looking at the road. Trashed my right knee and right shoulder. The second was a minor bump on my front wheel. Why? Because he was staring at his phone and didn't once look up except to tell me to fuck off before driving off. Had he been travelling faster it could have been much worse. The little bag head was lucky I didn't drag him from his Ford and tear out his fucking spine. There are bad motorists and bad cyclists. But the law is abundantly clear. So put your phone away fir a few minutes. Someone's life could be either ended or severely affected forever all because you just couldn't help yourself and needed to check that last text, tweet or Facebook post.

@@PowerMadLabRat Try saying that to the thousands of innocent people who are killed and injured by drivers of two-tonne vehicles each year. The cyclist loses his life for his mistake (which is rare as we are not stupid, most know how vulnerable we are).. The car driver gets a small prison sentence for killing someone totally innocent - then back to the rest of his life. . Cyclists are a minority group, most of us are safe ourselves but we are very vulnerable out there to bad drivers, who do not care about cyclists and overtake too close etc. Not look out for us at junctions. Your comments can only make that worse, they fuel these kinds of drivers. We are not all red-light runners. The ones who do - do it safely - as they are risking their lives against cars. There will always be a tiny group of suicidal people, like base jumpers who take too much risk. Even base jumpers have to have someone scrape them off the floor and are selfish in that way. The vast majority of us lookout for buses buddy, we do not want to get squashed. Stop branding us all with the bad ones, please?. Think, please, that is all I ask of you. I wonder of the kind of people who upvoted your comment and how they will not lookout for us, and may find it funny to close pass one of us again, it happens all too often and can only be on purpose.

If you told an employer about the reckless driving or parking of one of his employees there's a good chance that he will defend his employee and try to make you look like the one who's doing wrong by squealing. I kinda feel bad for the driver. He seems to be doing a low paying job. On top of that, he is doing a job that requires constantly going on the phone and checking the location for the house to drop of the pizza. Bit harsh, considering his situation but he failed to attend court so it is his problem

Great Job, Boet! The world needs people like you, passionate about road safety. To think of all the pedestrians along that long stretch of road and the "speed" he was going. It only takes a second to make a fatal mistake, and maybe a lifetime to regret it. Lekker shot, stay cool. God bless

At the end of all your video posts, you always say that the driver got punished by the police. Is this purely down to the evidence that you provide ?. I recently provided footage from my cycle cam of a serious crime and was told by the police that they cannot use it to prosecute because it was taken on the wrong type of cam.

In the past I have been guilty of these kinds of offences - thankfully without incident or accident and fortunately for me was never caught out. Watching videos like this, and knowing someone like yourself might just be around to catch me in the act, makes me 1000% less likely to do so in future. I think it's a good thing you are doing mate.

I’m pretty sure the guy using his phone in this video won’t do it again. Which means he is less likely be involved in an accident with a more vulnerable road user. So Mikey is doing a very good thing in reporting such offences.
