    That's fantastic to hear! While I try to label all my quilts, some slip through without one. But it's a wonderful addition for the recipient and is always appreciated. Thanks so much for subscribing! It's great to have you following along. Happy Quilting, Lea Louise

    We used to iron cotton onto wax paper, cut it to 8.5 x 11 and run it through the printer back in fiber arts school. Easy peasy. Great labels!! Thank you.

    Great tip, Frances! The reason I prefer the printable paper is the fabric is held so firmly as it feeds through the printer. Whereas the wax or freezer papers are much less sturdy. The extra support gives the printable paper a firmer base to print on and I'm always very happy with the results. Thanks for your comment and I sure appreciate your following along! Happy Quilting, Lea Louise

    An easy way to remove the paper from the adhesive is to score a line on somewhere in the body of your piece with a pin. It's easier to remove than trying to release the paper from a corner of your fabric

    Thank you for the beautiful labels, this is jut what I was looking for. One question, do you use the fine point or the regular point Sharpies? I just could not tell from the video (old eyes!)

  • @InspiredQuiltingbyLeaLouise

    Both, Nancy! The fine points definitely give you more control. Sometimes I find the regular points in darker colors can tend to bleed just a bit so be careful with them. Have fun labeling your quilts! 😍 Happy Quilting, Lea Louise

    Using the inkjet printer, can you print in color?

  • @InspiredQuiltingbyLeaLouise

    @InspiredQuiltingbyLeaLouise

    10 ай бұрын

    Absolutely, Mickey. An inkjet printer is perfect as you need to use a permanent ink when printing the labels. There may not be as much coverage as you might want depending on your printer settings. If possible, set your print quality to high/extra/dark or whatever there is to use a bit more ink. A sharpie works wonders for touch up if needed. I actually use them to color in the labels! Have fun making your labels. Happy Quilting, Lea Louise

    I have a laserjet printer. 1) can I still use this printer? (2) If so, will it still work on the inkjet paper? Thank you for your response.

  • @InspiredQuiltingbyLeaLouise

    @InspiredQuiltingbyLeaLouise

    Great question! 😍 Yes you can use a laser jet printer with inkjet paper, BUT laser printers don't give the best results for photos. Definitely give it a try with these labels as they are more dark lines than colorful images. Use the 'best quality' setting and see what you think. Give it a try on paper first and see if there's a difference between the settings. My guess is you should be okay. Happy Quilting, Lea Louise
