What stutch are you using? If I tried that, it would get all knotted up. Lol

This is a really small whip stitch. Almost a ladder stitch, but not quite. I find this to be faster than a ladder stitch. The key to not getting tangles and knots is to condition your thread well with thread conditioner. :)

I haven't heard of those stitches nor have I heard of conditioning the thread either. Thank you.

I tried this and my thread broke. Idk what I did wrong

It could be a couple things - are you using old or cheap thread? High quality cotton thread or polyester thread shouldn’t break while stitching like this. I like to use Aurifil or Sulky. You can also try a thicker thread like 40wt or thicker.
