Thank you so much for this video and the explanation as to which tip of the triangle gets lined up and which one has the 1/4" overhang. The point with the seam has the overhang. Cue the angels singing...confetti...and my smiling face!

I agree. You are the first person to explain which tip to line up. Thank you. Now I understand. LOL

I love your videos. I’d love to see one where you explain all the different types of fabric you use in quilts. I’m kind of nervous. I have used cotton and linen. I love your textures.

With our Berninas you could use the other plate that doesnt have the wider hole and wah lah...no eating fabric ;) as long as you are just straight sewing

Omg, thank you so so much for finally explaining to me how to line up triangles!! Does this work on any triangle, or only 60 *ones? You can probably guess from my question that I've been avoiding them as I thought they were beyond me, thank you for making them a possibility ❤️

Trust all has been good since you first made this video. Question please: Was there anything special about creating the mountain triangles with 2 colors? Thanks., all these years later. 😊

Three kids later! 😂 I just had my third child three months ago. Wow! Does time fly!! I think this design looks best when the mountains have a bit of variety, but it’s not necessary if you would like to make all of your mountains from a single fabric.

does this work for 30* triangles as well? I have been having so much trouble getting a 1/4" seam on top and bottom of each row. does that make sense? Just wondering what I'm doing wrong...... sigh

I bought a single hole needle plate for my sewing machine so those tips don’t get caught up. Might help others if their machine has that plate available to swap out from their zigzag plate.🤷‍♀️

Well, how about instead of dog or cat ears, you could call them Mountain Ears!…Mountaineers! See what I did there? Oh boy. Ok…my oldest kid is 16….surely I’ll start sounding less sleep deprived eventually, right?!

What a wonderful tutorial. I'm new at quilting and completely disregarded quilts with triangles because they always seemed too difficult. You make it understandable, so thank you! Not to mention this quilt is adorable. Will you let us know what fabric you used when your pattern is released?

I'm so happy to hear that! I have some of the fabric listed here - suzyquilts.com/mod-mountains-quilt-pattern-fabric-and-sewing-tips/ including a link to a fat quarter bundle that is very similar to what I used.
