Thank you so much, Sandy! I'm relatively new to this myself, but just thought that others who are nervous about it might benefit from a newbie like me showing the process. It's not as scary as it seems. :)

I watched a video this morning and she used a tin lid , a lot cheaper and of course she did half circles....so I am going to experiment too...

I've heard of folks doing that but have never tried it myself. I bet it would work, though, as long as you didn't need to fit it under the back side of the presser foot.
this is the ruler Ive got and I havnt used it yet...just made a bubble quilt and thinking of ruler work on the borders.....
