Third in a series after "Complex" and "Eridanus". And is part of the rest of the Worstverse stories, which all together is way, way more than a book's worth.

Excellent!! This is a great story, so creepy ❤. I would love to see this made into a feature film. And with the possibility of a sequel, very excited to learn more about this place. And while all the construction was happening why was there nothing creepy going on. Maybe because no one was working at night. I also like how the monster dies. There are somany creatures that can not cross flowing water. I imagine the deck was built with iron horseshoes hammered into the under side. Iron and water to defeat the beast.

This already is a sequel. The third in a sequence, actually. Complex, Eridanus, and this. The answer to the reason things didn't start happening again until then is in Eridanus. The what is explained in Dirty Work Inc. The antagonist is showcased more in Complex. And the continuation(the third appearance of this location) is set to happen in the combined arc of Werewolves are Assholes, Worst Hotel, and I Ride for Cerber. And the water didn't have anything to do with it. The answer was given just before in the cave. The body was already breaking down. The goal was to run out the clock. That's why he said they'd been better off running into the woods.

There was a similar story, a while ago, about an ancient stone box/ruins being found underwater, near an an Eastern European village. There was a ship they main characters we're working on, as it was partially sunk in shallow water near the shore. I thought the same thing, the ship and Eastern European village thing jogged my memory, though I'm not sure if these are connected. The previous story ended with these evil villagers trying to stop them from leaving, but failing, so them being gone would be weird.
