Quiet Lunch got a peek at an exclusive exhibit opening in New York City presented by Dior Beauty. Holton Rower does one type of art, Pouring Paint. Sure, anyone can do that but not on the scale Rower does it.
Many thanks to @ArtofOR, @TheHoleNYC, and The City Frim.

photographer were so excited 😆 looking lovely
Painting without Painting :) AWESOME!
This style of painting takes me back to my hippie days. 😁✌🏻🌸🌼
I think most people commenting don't really understand that although it looks so easy, there's so much more to it! Paints don't tend to sit on top of each other while wet together, they typically blend especially when they have more liquid/flow. You have to know density, velocity among other things when it comes to colors, if they do blend what color they blend to etc. There's so much more that goes into this type of art! They didn't just dump paint in cups and start pouring but it never gives details on that part unfortunately so most people may think that's all it is.

True. This, however is performance art more than a how-to video. Truth is there is way too much paint and no real info given unless we observe the way they pour contrasting colors in early part of demonstration and then hues of one color followed by a contrasting colors and hues in that color, ad finitum.. .. No covering the corners of course! Pure performance art!

also that really doesnt even include his choice of palette...
albert derriennic Superbes et un très joli graphisme ! Bravo
WHY IS THE BRAND OF PAINT HE'S USING A TOTAL FUCKING MYSTERY !!!!!
😍
Amazing love art like this
شوف الابداع لايعرف المستحيل
People working on the floor. Lots of cameras and media attention. A middle aged guy and his young attractive students. Everyone focused on something that seems completely mundane, easy, senseless, messy and colorful. Must be some fucking good art! I better take a picture.
Omg I just did this on a smaller scale with oil base paint... How cool!
Mega Mix, you'r totally right. People who believe it's easy, would. Try themselves before comments. Pouring paint on the canvas is the easy part of the creation. The hardest work is before. Good luck for trying.. Have a good evening.
FANTASTIC !
How do you plan ahead how much paint you would need for such a project? It is an amazing feat of preparation and choreography. Look at :07 how much work he has done ahead of time to ensure the proper color scheme in the palette. He also has to work extremely fast to ensure that the flow is continuous. It looks deceptively easy, but upon examination anyone can see the work and vision that went into this.

Interesting techniques for fluid abstract painting.
Thats great

Phyllis Neri a MUCH cheaper way of doing this is by using house paints... which I'm sure that's what he's using

I love it!
Great use of leftover paint!
Tons of ink :) beautiful results
i would buy something like this. i dont know why people are complaining
This is so cool! Just watched some videos on pouring acrylic skins and it looks like these people used acrylic paints and liquitex medium for easy flow. Must try...on a slightly smaller scale.
Trippy
me encanto
wauuuu super! degradacion del color y contrastes..
amazing!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome thanks
I just miss the start on the vudeo. You didn't show how you do the 2 first ring , please, thank you and most important, Do you put additive like floetrol, and Silicone ? Thank you.
Espectacular👏👏👏👏👏
It's like a mandala...
Amazing
Why does half the video look like it was filmed using the first Nokia with a camera by a hyperactive gradeschooler
For me, this was like an elaborate set up for a joke without a punchline. Pretty colours, though
Me encantó!
no it isnt a waste. it dries then looks awesome
1:51 It would be kool if you did this on glass so you can watch from the bottom too.

My small ones take two or three days to dry. This one will definitely dry in our lifetime, weather and humidity permitting
The fun with pouring paint is the unexpected, the surprise element that comes at the end. The process for this painting is far too premeditated. It reminds me at the paper with outline already in place given to Kindergarten children who had to color inside them. The child creativity was supress in such exercise. Without the help of the people passing the cups to him; he alone could have never manage to do such large work.
I would love to do this on a canvas covered wood table top, cover with glass and highlight with a glass stand lamp.
stunning to look at! though i can only imagine how long it takes to dry lmao
Looks tasty.
sensacional !!!!
it takes about a day to dry.
fyi: If you use high flow or a fluid pouring medium it will not craze/crack.

Why is the final piece dried not shown at the end of the video?????????
Great
No way my Dior nail polish would be helping to make the pattern !!!!!!!
Did you pull the lipstick containers out right away after completing this? or wait a bit?
mi abuela lo puede hacer ..........y yo con los ojos bendados :P
Well damnit I wanted to see tbe final product. WTF?
hey nice! Would do for a Supermarket advertising!
which type of paint did you use, and are there any specifics types of paint you would recommend or would any liquidated form of paint be usable to do such a fun project?
Well that's 10 minutes out of my lifetime can't get back..🙄
how many gallons of paint was used....what is the size of canvas? : ))) best poured demo ive seen....saw bout 10,
Amazing, never seen anything like it!! Questions: 1) To get the perfect circles like that, do you place the little bottles in place like you did in this video? 2) What surface are you using? 3) How much paint is in each cup? 4) Do you have a web site? Thanks!
so, what is the artist genius doing appart from pouring in the center?
did you use an oil base?
Taking 6 years to dry =p

It looks cool, but wow this has got to be expensive.
Very nice project and very nice video :) Does someone know that song?
Can someone please explain to me where the talent part is? Seven and a half minutes of my life I can't get back lol. Who can't pour paint? I'm lost...
** S ** U ** P ** E ** R **
it this a performance art???? or it will be just a waste of paint
ARE THESE LATEX PAINTS, LIKE HOUSE PAINT?
Does this mean everyone can do it at their own backyard?
Exurgency by Zoë Keating

Wish the camera person was better at showing the bigger picture
What on earth do these people own a paint factory. Whyp lall the cameras.
