Clear and excellent articulation of these tips for a better tone. That said, pardon me for deviating from that topic, but I'm intrigued by the barrel on your instrument and wondered if you would briefly identify it. The elephant in the room is the haircut, but I won't pursue that as it is too personal.

🤣 this was a pandemic haircut that my wife did at home plus I always wanted to see what I would look like with a shaved head so it seemed like a good time to try. The barrel is a Zoom adjustable barrel. Nowadays I play on a Brad Behn adjustable barrel that was a very generous gift.

@@QuickStartClarinet Thank you for your reply. FWIW, my wife cuts what hair I have left as well.

I would love to hear about the corners of the embrouce. Everyone talks about pushing the corners in but no one talks about methods or exercises to train the cornersi to bring them "nside" the embouchure. I've searched the web and have found no lessons on teaching to bring the corners in. If you have any insight that would be great. I think my playing suffers because my corners tends to go back creating more of a pinching sound. Thanks for your insight in advance.

I think this would make a great video! This one isn’t specifically about the corners, but it might help with the pinched sound in the meantime! kzread.info/dash/bejne/o4iLmtlwlNHKabw.html

Hey that can be a good thing lol! Try being a little firmer with the corners of the embouchure and keep the clarinet up and securely supported into your embouchure.
