I was a roadie / rigger for 8 years between 88 and 96. I worked with depeche mode, u2, simple minds, madonna, cure, silencers, feds, amongst others. Great life but fucking hard work. Great days.
Only rules we have are, don't lie don't ever lay an aggressive hand on a crew mate , only party if you can make your next shift and be cool.

Amen to that!
Im a chef from england, and this sounds a little like the work ethic of good chefs too... im in my mid 40s and have been a chef since i was 16 and enrolled in cooking school, the job has taken me round the world many times. From working in the best hotels and restaurants, to working private corporate gigs, or on boats, or even on farms in rural outback australia. What ive found over the past 15 years or so, is that much of my work has come from word of mouth, from having good relationships with other chefs and people ive worked for. im single, so its easy to move onto another job once one is finished or im ready for a new challenge. I love my family, my mum and dad, and siblings and their kids, but theres something about just taking off to work in new places, and quite often those oportunities lead to your next job, that is hard to stop doing!

the reason im watching this video, is that, a chef i now work with in england used to tour with bands cooking for them. so im sort of doing a little research. coz the thought of it excites me. ive never cooked on a tour before. it sounds like alot of hard work but fun too, a sort of life im used to, but in another way.
Awesome. Just worked my second music festival. Absolutely loved it.

Good for you! That’s great. What festival? Check out my series with Claire Murphy. It’ll give you even more info!
My friend told me to talk to John at an event. I went there, found John, and he put me to work rolling cables immediately. Then I got calls. Then I joined the union. Good money. Coolest job ever. Sweat and pain and set lists and guitar picks and donuts and coffee
Can't wait for TJ's film to come out. He's a great man and I'm a big fan.

Cool man! Good luck with the gig! I hope it works out!
Being a roadie isn't a job, it's a lifestyle
Great content!
LOOKS LIKE THE PUNISHER IS STANDING RIGHT HERE!!!😂
I’m here after listening to “Roadie’s Song” by Saxon
I've been road crew, guitar tech, lighting crew, it's a lifestyle not a job.
Anywhere to see the film online?
Is this film coming out in Europe?
