Quick Tip #3 - Visually remove a Tree Stump in 5 Minutes
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
How to visually remove a tree stump quickly with a shovel and a chainsaw. Small to medium size trees can be done in 5 minutes or less.
I have property with hundreds of trees. This method has saved me time and money. I have been doing this for years. This method puts the stump below the ground surface which can then be backfilled with a little dirt. Over time, you can add a little more dirt if the ground starts to sink in where the stump decomposes. This may not work in your situation, but for me, it's fantastic!

SPOILER ALERT. He cuts if off at ground level and throws dirt over it. He doesn't actually REMOVE the stump. So if you want to actually REMOVE the stump, then skip this.
Yup, that works for me!!! I'm going to do this on my Lilac tree stump after realizing the roots are way too difficult. Thanks!
LOVE IT!!!! I will let you know how I go, hopefully, I will keep all fingers and toes lol 😂😂
I've done this with a couple of palm trees that were in my backyard positioned like goal posts. Same technique just added extra top soil to make a mound and threw some turf on top. After about 6 months, the ground eventually levelled out with healthy grass already established like it was never there.

Why bother cutting anything? I've got a mound of soil 16' high on my yard! But not a tree in sight! Can you please help me to understand why my tree removal business failed?
An old neighbor who was an estate manager told me something similar BUT with the exception of over-applying an inexpensive bag of fertilizer (think like 2 or 3 cups for your stump) to help burn away and aid a faster decomposition of the underground stump..
Best video yet ! Thank you, i will start digging tomorrow

Yeah I've found for really big stumps, 100% of the videos on youtube for "quick/easy stump removal!" are a crock. And nothing will really get it out besides manual labor or a stump grinder.

You are doing nothing more than burying the stump. When you plant grass you will have a bunch of mushrooms growing up through your grass which is just as unsightly as the stump. Do yourself a favor and rent a stump grinder. Remove all the wood debris and fill in the hole with dirt then seed or lay sod.

Maybe would be my answer. I have been doing this for years. By the time you cut it below the surface and cover it with dirt, I have not seen any growth from the stumps. I'm sure it's possible, but so far so good. The stump continues to rot.
I expected the tree stump to come out wasn't helpful
That doesn't really work at all if you have a bunch of small stumps sticking above the ground everywhere
this will create termites in the future
Don't work on hill side. Dirt washes off of it
That's not removing a stump in 5mins that's burying one in 30mins

I disagree completely. The reason I use the axe it to remove dirt from the wood, therefor no chain dulling. An axe can be touched up with a file in seconds. I still use this method and it saves time and money. What's your other choice? Renting a stump grinder?

Especially considering there are ~2000 Home Depot stores in the US and 2200 Lowe’s stores in the USA and most rent this equipment for about the same price it really shouldn’t be to hard to actually pay the $150 for the proper tool to accomplish the task with relative ease.
