I like it Neil. So many jobs would be fine to that level of accuracy and it's a good quick set up. Best wishes, Dean.

Hi Neil. You definitely demonstrated that for a quick means to get an odd angled stock more or less parallel to the top of a vice, your little tool is the way to go. Otherwise it’s so difficult to do. Thank you for the follow up. 👏👏👍😀

Ayeup Nell. I’ve only just found out that you’ve snuck a couple of videos in. My alert or notifications aren’t working for some reason, perhaps youtube don’t want me to get any new ideas. 🤣😂 That’s a fair dinkum idea, good on yer, well done. see you soon cheers.

Done out of desperation Paul 😊 I was having a moment the other day and I kept tapping the job the wrong way. Forgot the rule with indicator needle movements. Left means low, right is high. The indicator almost took a swim in the canal ! Still got brain fog, I can't be trusted these days 🤣🤣

I think you are right Michel. I got it perfect 3 of 4 times but can't remember if I lifted the job up or pushed it down with the quill. I will try and figure out the best method 😊 Kind regards Neil

Handy tool, no parallels needed. I use a Starrett 135B pocket level for quick jobs and thin parts.

I did try a level but had issues. My floor isn't a solid slab. That combined with the fact that the workshop is built next to a steep canal bank means things move around quite a lot 😁 In fact, I have to jack the one side of the workshop up every few months because the door won't open. Cheers Neil

Hi Carl !!!! It just cuts down on time with non critical stuff. It will never replace using indicators but sometimes that level of accuracy isnt required. What I'm basically saying is, I'm a bit rough 🤣🤣

@@NellsMechanicalManCave I agree. I've advocated that approach myself. The correct standard of precision for the job in hand.
