Good stuff to work on as TKD specialist. It's clear you've worked on boxing techniques, more things done right than wrong. The rear hook is not the most common punch as it's a big movement, more often you'll see the lead hook used. Definitely good to practise combinations where you figure out how to let the punches flow into those masterful TKD kicks :) Also, you can consider sometimes doing these punches with head movement, so for instance with that lead uppercut you can slip your head to the outside so you defend from a punch or just stay a moving target and so it allows you to twist into that uppercut. Also be careful dropping the uppercut too much, I do it a bit too much as well :)

@@scarred10 I did not know that, thanks for sharing. But TKD can have other purposes than competition, for the pursuit of general combat skills and self defense abilities it can be good to combine with boxing or other arts. :)

@@scarred10 Agreed.... TKD has more of a place in a one on one fight with rules, like MMA where it can supplement other skills, compared to a tyåical assault situation... nonetheless the attributes developed both physically and mentally can help... and while high kicks are risky as you don't want to end up on the gorund in self defense and there could be less space, slippy surfaces, etc.... the strike the opponent doesn't expect can sometimes make a difference. I like palmstrikes and elbows especially as tools for self defense striking, as the opponent is likely to close distance and you're not wearing gloves.... kicks especially sidekicks and front kicks can still come into play however and are good to have as long as they're not relied on.... and BJJ for the ground. Anyways.... pure TKD can be nice for pure TKD competition or sparring... I just enjoy more the Bruce Lee/MMA like approach of combining styles for competition and sparring :)

Hi Nora I love your videos they are very inspirational. There's something I hope you can explain. At around 16 seconds into your video you do a kind of breathing exercise where you do a circular motion with your hands and then you circle the hands down. You do it again at 2.55.Would you please explain the proper way to do this and it's benefits. Looking forward to more videos.

Thank you Michael! That is a kind of breathing exercise indeed! I lift up my arms and breath in at the same time deeply. I breath out and empty the lungs completely when I put my arms down. I am doing a circling motion. I should do a short video on this.

Great work!... Thank you for sharing the video. I also practiced ITF Style TKD from 4 years to my 20's. I am black belt second dan. I moved to the US from Puerto Rico, but I stopped developing my skills after I moved. I would like to go back to it (in my 40's now), but I have not been able to find a school in Georgia, USA that offers ITF style clases. Do you know by any chance about any ITF Schools in that state?...

I don't know many ITF schools in the USA, you must check on Google Maps for them, I hope that you will be able to find a good TKD school!
