Quick Pool Deck for Small Pool
Ойын-сауық
The kids favorite part of swimming is of course jumping in the pool. I don't expect this pool to have a very long life so I built a simple deck that can be moved after it's inevitable demise. CANON BALL !

Oh yeah no problem, what's the address? 🤣
Codes are strict in my county. Everything has to be notched, and anchored below the frost line. Approved anchor's, hangers, brackets. No more than a 4" gap on rails or steps. It all drives up the price and time. But if the entire neighborhood wants to party on your deck at the same time it wont fall. Lol
@LastLeafStudioVideo

Yeah this is probably far from meeting any building codes but hey it's pretty simple to build.🤷🏻♂️
@jamesrogers4674

@@LastLeafStudioVideo a lot of places probably don't care. What you built would probably outlast and outperform the pool. I live in a college party town that had a 2nd story deck collapse several year's ago due to 30 or 40 people on a little rotten deck acceding it's capacity so they adopted the strictest codes within reason.

Very cool. What is the math you use with the stair stringers
@LastLeafStudioVideo
2 жыл бұрын
Stairs I measure the height of the pool deck in this case we will use 30. Divide 30 by 7 because 7 is the ideal step height. So 30 ÷ 7 = 4.28. You can't have .28 of a step so you will have 4 steps. Now you take 30 ÷ 4 and come up with 7.5. Your steps with be 7.5 tall. To find how far your steps stick out multiply the number of steps (4) by the width of your stair tread. If you have 8 inch stair treads your stairs will stick out 32 inches. Hope this makes sense.
