I really like this pattern. It is quite simple, but looks great ! I´m sure it´s effective for any predator fish at my fishing waters in Finland. I´ll try to tie this with silver colour for trout, it´s surely great dace and roach imitation for bigger trout. Thanks for your great video !

Where would I get the small clips/clamps you use around the feathers. Great video and explanation.

Thanks for the great video. I am just start to learn fly tying. For me, the big headache is to choose the material. There are so many different hair, features, and artificial materials. Would you advise me what is the must to have for a starter.

Thanks, glad you liked it.What materials you need depend on what kind of flies you wanna tie:for streamers I would say that with bucktail, flash and craft fur you get a good start but I would check out with some local dealer if they could pick up some kinda starter pack for you :)

I would love to try this fly tying myself but it's hard for me to find the tools needed in my country, can you specify what should I get from online shop? Sorry for the trouble..

Very difficult to give you a proper answer, I would contact a tackleshop (a local if possible) and talk to them, most of them would be happy to pick you a "starterpack" In Finland we got a store, Ruotoshop with a fantastic crew including worldclass tyers who will help you for sure :)

Your work is fine, but I am asking myself and asking you a question; all these filaments of more or less plastic material will end up in the water and/or in the bellies of fish. You and I and millions of Internet users would surely like to be able to enjoy many more years of the benefits of this planet. Isn't a reflection on the choice of ecological materials necessary? for reading, thank you.
