Aside from the magnificent cathedral, there are no major landmarks that you have to worry about checking off your list. You can visit Les Halles market for fresh produce, seafood and meats. Certainly try the iconic Bayonne ham but what really surprised us were the yummy empanadas at Hornitò, (hornito.fr/). It is a wonderful break from the traditional Spanish and French cuisine. Don't forget to sample chocolate at L'Atelier du Chocolat. Bayonne was a perfect town to reset and recover before continuing our adventures across Western Europe.
