Guys, if you buy a used Glick, strip it, clean it, cycle rounds through it. Then take it to the range and shoot 500+ rounds. If anything comes up, fix it - it's easy with Glocks.

Also, if you are a novice, take shooting lessons from a pro.

The smile depends on the generation snd finish...some gen 3 glocks like my 23, get smiles on the barrels after a few hundered rounds. But you are right about the moly grease...so slick it actually stops wear...i have done that since my 23 started smiling

I don’t sell my guns but there is a point where EVERYTHING has a price tag, lol. I know this post is a couple years old, but prices are still crazy. If people wouldn’t pay that price then prices would drop. As long as people can sell at these prices they are going to continue to keep prices at this crazy level.

Lots of Glock critics out there, but you can't beat the logistics - parts availability for Glocks is very high. Only the 1911 has more available parts, in terms of handguns. If you buy an abused Glock you can rehabilitate it fairly easily.

And 1911 parts will rarely just drop in place fine without at least some tweaking.

@@TheModernSurvivalist The gun show is tomorrow I really want to buy a Gen 5 - 19. But I dont feel I know enough to inspect it properly before buying it.. should I just buy it anyway because of Glock reputation? Thanks!

Glocks are the AK47 of hand guns! You will never go wrong with A Glock . Most of modern hand guns are reliable with proper maintenance . Lack of maintenance and poor quality ammo are the reason for gun failures.
